I’m SO happy I found this book!!!
I’m pregnant with my first so I don’t know what to expect after pregnancy. I’ve talked to friends and read a few books that I thought were helping me get a grasp on what to expect. But then I found this book and, WOW!! Did it open my eyes to things I hadn’t even thought about! I know there will still be tons of “firsts” as I navigate becoming a mom but I feel so much more prepared to tackle it now that I’ve read this book. I wish I knew more women who are expecting or who just had a baby so I could recommend this book to them.

Add this book to your shelf immediately!
Words can't describe how I feel about this book. It's so witty and thorough and it's broken down into the perfect sections for a first time mom going through all the feels. The authors really dug deep to go into detail about all the struggles and worries a mother can go through and it's refreshing to read into how no matter what's going on you're not alone in it. I'm SO grateful to own this book and I truly believe all mom's should get a copy. It's like a mother's bible, it's got it all!

I wanted more reading and less journaling
This is a good book if you like interactive activities and journal entries, but if you’re looking for more of a strict “book” to read straight through, this might not be for you. Also, not something you can read straight through since a lot of chapters talk about things you experience at different times during pregnancy and post partum, more of a book to come back to every few weeks as you progress!

MUST READ FOR EVERY MOTHER!
I am so glad I found this book right after I gave birth to my first. The authors are amazing psychologists and the book is beautifully written but not over worded. I'm going to read it over again because the affirmations are exactly what I need and the book makes me feel not alone. I recommend this book to every mother, even with toddlers.

You need this!
Everyone reads books about pregnancy and newborns, but there isn't nearly enough focus on the mother's healing and recovery (both physically and mentally) after bringing a new life into the world. This is the perfect guide for just that. It keeps things honest yet lighthearted and is easy to navigate if you just need to reference one specific question - perfect for those busy and exhausting postpartum days. I highly recommend this for yourself or as a gift for any expecting mama you know!

A Postpartum MUST!
I received this book shorty after I gave birth and really helped me a lot (and is still helping me!) No one really walked me through the postpartum stage and all I knew was about postpartum depression and that was it. However this book talks about EVERYTHING! It was refreshing to read and be aware of things that postpartum can bring on. I love how the book informs but also has you take part in unloading your burdens and sharing your experiences in the book by writing and drawing… very therapeutic! Even though at times it’s challenging to find time to write in the book esp with a newborn BUT when I find time, it is so healing! The book has so many amazing resources and information about what you might be experiencing. It has helped me normalize what I am going through and empowered me to love myself through this process. Thank you to the authors of this book!
