I used it to transfer photos and videos from a micro sd card to my laptop through the USB port. My sd card slot had gone wrong in my laptop so this was the easiest way to get round the problem. Everything worked well so I highly recommend this for that purpose.

does the job but quality isn’t the best. probably just spend a few more quid and get one that will last much longer.

Design is nice - needed for micro SD for cameras to update software. Software didn't work but my laptop picked up the SD cards from the reader so have to assume it was a problem with the file and not the card reader device. Good quality.
