Each sponge has different size holes. One sponge has smaller holes, one has bigger, and the other sponge is dual sided (has holes and like the spikes with holes)

These to me are no different than most of them. Pretty durable, but realistically might need replacement after a few years depending on frequency of use. But you get 3, so that's what makes this a good deal.
