How thick/solid is it?

It's about half a millimetre thick, doesn't tear but will cut. It easily copes with a toddler running into it or banging on it, which is just as well as it makes a very satisfying (to the toddler) booming noise when this occurs :)

How does this protect against the very last spindle and connect to the wall? As mine has nothing to attach onto

cable ties,i myself used this on a stretch of spindles where none of it was on a wall side,few months on and its attached,it comes with a hole punch which is handy,i would cut more than the required length cause its a nuisance to manage it with a big roll on the ground,then size it up,then cut to correct size.

What length are the tie straps please as i have wide flat spindles. Thanks

In the two sets I received they were 30cm long white plastic straps and I had plenty left over

How long is the roll of clear plastic. Is there one piece or a number of pieces?

The roll is a little over 15 feet long, and in the two boxes I bought it was in a single piece. There were plenty of cable ties supplied to secure there role with. And there was even a hole punch provided!
