Why did you pick this product vs others?:This USB-C hub is awesome. I use it with my MacBook and iPad, and it just works. The 4K HDMI output is super clear, and I love that it charges my laptop with no problem. The 3 USB-A ports are great for flash drives and accessories, and everything connects fast with no issues. It’s small, lightweight, and feels high quality. Definitely a must-have if you need more ports — especially for travel or school.

I bought this as a replacement for another adapter that just did not work properly (as in SPEED). After a little tweaking in my device settings this adapter took off and never looked back. I have a 2x2 gig connection and this Adapter works, not sure about the 5gb. The cost was a little bit higher than the ones I was replacing but worth it as its pretty much plug in and go. It's small enough that it is hidden on my desk and the cable is great quality and so is the housing which is aluminum. I can't remember where I found the tweaks for the adapter, so I can't include that. But, overall, this product is worth the few dollars. Make sure you use a Quality Cat 6E or higher cable, the speed difference is crucial, at least in my setup. Customer support is great!!! I just had a question, and they answered that and more. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a USB C to RJ45 adapter. Do yourself a favor and pick one of these up if you're looking for something like this.

I ordered this because, due to breaking my MacBook air screen, I needed a way to attach an external display. And didn't recall I didn't need it. But it works, and the price is fine.The only downside is that it doesn't support USB-C devices, and with my MacBook Air, there is only 2 USB ports on the system. So this wasn't sufficient by itself for my needs. As a second hub, I will use it for additional USB-3 and USB-2 ports.

Please note that: The 'USB C PD port' can only charge the host device (laptop, phone). The 'USB C PD' port can Not transfer data, and can Not support video output. My friend, that information is from the middle of the page above. Sadly, I had only read the description, before ordering two of these. In other words, you will not find that information at the top of the page. I was sadly surprised to find that I could not get a USB-C external SSD to work on either of these two new Ugreen USB-C ports. However, at $10 each for these Ugreen ports, and because the three USB-A (2.0x2, 3.?x1) work fine, as well as the HDMI port feeding my 3840x2160 monitor also works just fine, I returned here to this product page. After several days of vowing in my mind not to trust Ugreen products/buy them again, even though historicall I had always had good luck with Ugreen items, I am now happy to report that I wrong, and, my friend, I highly recommend Ugreen products, again. This product is well made and seems more sturdy that other similar products I've owned in the past. It worked well to connect my PC to a television while overseas so I could watch US shows using a VPN. The unit also provided useful USB ports to expand the limited ones I have on the PC. I would definitely purchase this item again if I lost this one.

I purchased this dongle because I was attending a conference where I was needing to hook my iPad Air up to a projector and also an Owl meeting camera. The process was seamless and it immediately worked with the iPad without any problem. It was also able to charge at full speed using the USB-C pass-through, which was great because it meant that my iPad was still fully charged at the end of the day. I was impressed by how compact it was, it easily fit into my backpack and I don't mind carrying it around. It is definitely worth the price!
