My washer and dryer sets are pretty old but infinitely reliable and durable! It does however need special attention. There is a high chance of buildup and light mold on some of the rubber parts. This item was helpful to keeping it functioning well. I could tell upon first use as it cycled through my washer that it was working. The build up of stuff was visible during the wash. The soapy water was slightly gray. After the cleaning I opened the door to let it air dry. Sometimes there’s a musky smell if I don’t clean it with bleach. No odors or no residue or anything weird from what I could tell. I can attest that it did something to clean my washer.

I have tried 2 or 3 different washing machine cleaners in the past and they did not do the job. I have lived with the scum on the front loader door for several years. Sometimes I try to scrub it off with baking soda etc. BUT this product is amazing. It looked almost clean after the first time ... I ran it a second time and then wiped everything down like the instructions say, and wow. No scum. No odors. I have an LG front loader about 12+ years old, and it does have the Clean Washer auto cycle which is what i used.
