I have about a half dozen Aladdin lamps with the round wick. I like to have them in working condition and to keep them running like a finely tuned Porsche. I tried burning crappy lamp oil that I’ve had around for a few years. After lighting the lamp I could immediately see carbon building up on the wick and the carbon embers on the edges of the wick and yellow flames that can destroy a frail and expensive mantle. The embers on the wick continued to smolder after blowing out the lamp, along with a strong kerosene odor.The key to keeping these lamps running well is to keep the wick trimmed and burn a good quality oil. This product fits the bill. In a clean burning lamp, which burns with a blue flame, there is little odor with this product. There is a slight odor after blowing the lamp(s) out but it is much less pronounced than it is with a poor quality oil.

I love how cleanly the paraffin oil burns. Went all night on low in the oil lamp.

I bought this lamp oil for two oil-burning candles in the chapel. It works! The candles burn and there is no odor. It's good stuff and a lot cheaper than oil that we used to purchase at a religious-supply house. Well done!

I use it for valve oil. It works great and has no smell.

This is the perfect oil for indoor use of old or new oil lamps. There is absolutely no odor and no visible smoke.

Many reviewers mentioned it's difficult to pour. The design of the jug is weird, causing an air trap and then sloshing out in blobs. I made a small air hole near the rear of the handle to release air as it pours, then I tape over the hole after. Am I telling you that you should make a hole in a container of flamible liquid you store in your house? NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT. I'm just telling you what I did. Great product at a good price. My new regular brand.

I decided to make some DIY fire bowls since to buy them was too expensive. The first type of fuel I purchased (not from Amazon) put out a horrible black smoke and had a terrible odor even though the reviews on the store’s website stated that there was no black smoke or odor. So I looked on Amazon since I trust their reviews more and I have not been disappointed! The reviews said that this lantern fuel did not put out black smoke and there wasn’t a strong scent. I tried it based on that and I’m so glad I did. It burns clean and only has a slight scent. I am now in love with my diy fire bowls and I have this fuel to thank for it.
