The "clear" winner in binocular tripod adapters!
The FANAUE Binocular Tripod Adapter is an absolute game-changer for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors and appreciates the finer details of nature. As an avid birdwatcher and wildlife enthusiast and optics nerd this nifty little accessory has revolutionized my viewing experience, elevating it to new heights. At the time of purchase on July 29 2023, I paid $21.99 for this adapter. In my review photos you will see compatibility and fitment on my Vortex 12x50 Diamondback HD binoculars (no issues, works great).Design and Compatibility:The FANAUE Binocular Tripod Adapter boasts a smart and innovative design that exudes quality. The feel in hand and machining quality is very impressive considering the cost. If this thing was made in the USA it could easily be $100 or more. The quich release function is the real game changer here for me, I love that I can leave the little metal nub installed in my Vortex 12x50 and just pop them into this mount whenever I need to. I am photography fanboy and use the Arca Swiss system whenever possible, it is the easiest and quickest (not to mention widely compatible with lots of various Arca Swiss style gear) was for me to attach things to my tripod and ball head. Loving this thing!Ease of Use:One of the standout features of this adapter is its user-friendly setup. In mere seconds, I can effortlessly attach my binoculars to a tripod, eliminating the strain of extended viewing sessions. This hands-free convenience allows me to focus on the breathtaking sights without the fatigue associated with handheld viewing. I was having trouble trying to hold these 12x50 steady hand held so the tripod is 100 times better. Gone are the days of shaky hands and blurred views. With the FANAUE Binocular Tripod Adapter, I now experience a level of stability that drastically improves the clarity of my observations. It minimizes any shaky movements, enabling me to enjoy sharp, clear images and vivid details even during high-magnification use.Ideal for Long Observations:Whether I'm observing squirrels, birds or immersing myself in the beauty of nature, this adapter has proven to be indispensable so far in the short time I've used it during long, uninterrupted observations. It's perfect for capturing mesmerizing moments without worrying about shaky hands or missing crucial details.I was about to pay more for the Vortex branded adapter and am very happy with this one, the quick detach and Arca Swiss compatibility are so nice and the quality is definitely there!

Great product . You will want a long Allen key for easier install.
Works well. Does the job. Plan on having a longer Allen key to tighten to binos. Product works great. Great design. Just add a long Allen key to your bag.

Strong and Sturdy
This binocular pedestal is great! The construction is heavy duty aluminum which makes it light weight yet very sturdy. I use it with a Vortex UHD Razor 18x56 and it is perfectly secure. It’s definitely nice to not have to worry about an expensive piece of equipment being damaged due to a shotty support.

doesn't work with vortex diamondback 10x50.
very well built and sturdy feeling, great value for the price, unfortunately the length off the tubes and diameter of the front objective on my diamondback 10x50s prevents it from working as it should. works great with my vortex 8x42s though

Works great, built with heavy metal so secure
Fits Nikon binoculars perfectly. It a little heavy on the front when we aren’t using the tripod so we remove it. Other than that it holds the nicely on the tripod.

One major design flaw...
The foot plate is too shallow, front to back. It is only about 3/4" deep, so not enough support to keep binoculars from rocking fore and aft (the whole mount tips). Other than that I really like this mount. It uses a larger stud than most other mounts of this type. That is good and bad. It makes it easier to handle and more solid at the quick release. Unfortunately it is not interchangeable with some of the other mounts. For comparison, I can use Staoptics studs in the Leofoto mount and vice versa. Not a perfect fit, but it works. This mount uses a larger diameter stud, so it is only compatible with itself. If the base foot were larger I would only use these. As it is, it is only for the smaller binoculars.Update: attaching it to an A-S plate with some epoxy stiffens it right up. Now the problem is that it is about an inch too tall, even for my 15x56 binoculars. Haven't tried the big porro prism glass yet. With the normal sized stuff it puts the CG too high, and they want to tip over with typical video heads, even with counterbalance on. Works fine with gimbal heads, if the binoculars are narrow enough to fit.
