Does exactly what it needs to and fits onto the 406 perfectly. Brought to replace same product that came with filter. Not experienced any issues with that in the last few months, was just too short now after a tank upgrade. Other half cut this in into place with a normal kitchen knife, so no fancy tools required.Because it comes relatively compact, it is a bit awkward to fit into place to start with as it won't stay straight. Reccomend you have a couple of people at each end to stretch it out a little first.

Worth every penny for genuine product
Brought this after the fluval filter I brought needed another tube as the first that came with the filter wasn't long enough to cover my whole aquarium. It was worth every penny and I was surprised on what I have read online about there being many fakes to see this was genuine. Would buy again
