I recently decided to try a new 5 cup coffee brewer. I had been using a Cuisinart which I liked, but I wanted to try out a different machine. I started with the newer version of the Cuisinart. I was using (5 cup).I liked it well enough, but I didn’t love the form factor. So I tried out this Krups coffee maker.I much prefer it!It’s a much smaller footprint. It’s very simple and ergonomically, It just works as it should. I like the fact the carafe is glass so you can see how much coffee is left. I like the feel of the carafe handle more than the Cuisinart. The handle is bigger and more comfortable. I like the construction of the coffee holder basket. It’s clean and well-made. I like the water level indicator on the right side and the power button which very clearly indicates when it is on or off. It brews very quickly And does an excellent job. Another plus of this unit is that the heating tray is a little bit hotter than the one I was using previously. And it keeps the remaining coffee at a perfect temperature.So now I am a huge fan of Krups. So much so that I decided to get their new GX450 coffee grinder. I’m loving that too. It works really well and it is super cool looking. 😊So all in all, I highly recommend this crops 5 cup coffee maker it’s perfect! 👍🏻

This small coffee maker is perfect for limited spaces! It has a compact design that fits nicely on any counter without taking up too much room. Despite its size, it brews delicious coffee quickly and efficiently. I love that it comes with a built-in filter, so there’s no need to buy paper filters. The glass carafe is a nice touch, but you also have the option to brew directly into a travel mug, which is super convenient when you’re on the go. It’s simple to use, easy to clean, and ideal for anyone who wants great coffee without sacrificing space.

I opted for the Krupps based on reviews and it was 1/3 the price of my previous brewer. The Krupps brewer checked most of the boxes for my preferences in a brewer.Pros:Brewing water is the proper temp.Brewing water fully saturates the grounds, releasing maximum flavor.Brewing time is appropriate, to accomplish the above.Hot plate stays warm for 60 minutes. Coffee stays a drinkable temp for another 15-20 minutes.Pause and pour.Reusable filter.Auto shut-off.Stylish and compact.Low price.Good quality.Krupps.Cons:The flip side of not having to buy filters is having to clean a reusable filter.The rear hinged lid stands vertical when open, and tends to crowd the water basin opening.No bells and whistles. (clock, auto-start, etc.)After using this product for a while I am adding a couple of comments. More of an annoyance than a Con.- The auto-shut off timer is set for one hour. This is not enough time for me personally. My fix is to shut the unit off as I am pouring my second cup (about 30 min from start) then turning it back on. This seems to reset the timer giving me about 1.5 hours of hot coffee.- The last cup of coffee will always have some very fine coffee grounds in it. I've adjusted my grinder to a courser grind which helped a little but the finest of grounds still sneak through. Paper filters may end up becoming the alternative.Overall, pleasantly pleased.

Just a great machine. Nice eye appeal, compact, easy to operate, and makes a great cup of coffee. I bought a Melitta machine for more $$$ which functioned well. Unfortunately, they saw fit to equip it with a $.99 electric cord. Stiff as a board and it failed prematurely Perhaps Melitta should stick to making coffee filters. Moved to this "Beauty" and am a "Happy Camper". I did read the Krups reviews and as far as the water tank lid, i applied light pressure to take it over center a couple times and it stays there just fine. No need to "John Wayne" it, just LIGHT pressure. P.S. The Krups cord is heavy duty and pliable.

I gave three stars because this is my third coffee maker since 2022. I do love the size it is perfect for 2 cups of coffee in the morning. It is a great size and stylish to keep on the counter. Matches my other appliances. However, there is a 2 year warranty for a reason. This coffee maker burns out (loses its ability to heat) around the 2 or 2.4 year mark. Thus, have purchased my third one. Kinda disappointing for a $36 coffee maker. But I don't want a bigger pot sitting on the counter. It is a great little maker, but buyer should know it will fail in just over 2 years. And I only use this 6 months out of the year. Not a great batting record for longevity.

Have to give this one 5 stars. I have had expensive and budget coffee makers and this one seemed like a nice middle lower end compromise. I have no need for timers and strength settings and the last thing I need is another clock in the kitchen so I got the 10 cup one button model. Press one button and you get good hot coffee. The blue button light is pretty bright so you know when it's on. I have only two minor issues. The auto shut-off after an hour I wish was a little longer and It's a bit of a challenge trying to tip the carafe enough to empty water into the fill tank. The way the carafe curves in at the top a little water stays in there unless you angle it just right. Both minor so no big deal. I would definitely buy this again.

Great little coffee maker. Only my wife drinks coffee daily, so this is just the right size. It is replacing a 3 year old noisy, gurgling and slow 'name brand' one that has also rusted at the warming plate. So far she loves it. No bells and whistles, just quiet, fast great coffee. She uses disposable filters so there is little to no clean-up. Unlike other reviews the lid stays open when filling the unit with the carafe.
