Quality system at a great price.
We have 2 of these iGeek security cameras in use. Purchased a little over 2 years ago. These are outstanding security cameras for the home, right size as not to be too visible and an eyesore but enough to deter bad elements. The installation is simple and the length of the power cord from the solar panel to the camera can be mounted under an eave of the home, out of direct weather. The battery life is excellent, we have never had a problem even on the longest nights of the year. The image quality is outstanding, even after dark. The Infared is outstanding and produces a well it video without a lot of blur or dark area in the frame. The software is very good and the tilt, pan, zoom and focus features are fast and easy to use. Video can be downloaded to a phone, PC or tablet over a 2.4g wireless connection, leaving the only the solar panel to camera wire. For budget friendly home security, this is a strong recommendation.

An all around winner
A pan/tilt camera, solar powered, totally wireless, weatherproof, with SD card support, at this price point????? Unbelievable. Add to that excellent image quality, two way communication, a siren, a floodlight, and you've got it all. Choose color and BW night vision. Motion detection is accurate and reliable. On top of all of that the app is stable, mature, and highly customizable, to say nothing of very easy to use. It's miles beyond some of the other apps I've tried. In addition, if you already have another are you geek camera installed with the app on your phone, this new camera is incredibly easy to install and configure .And did I mention the price? As far as I can tell, this is one of the best security camera values on the market at this time. Totally satisfied.

All in all, for the price, a nice little camera
I purchased the DQ201 2K PTZ camera in November of 2023, and have now a couple of months to evaluate the performance of the camera.Summary:Overall, the camera seems to perform well, and I have not had any major issues with the device so far. The unit has a nice external design revealing a pleasing and professional aesthetic. ieGeek, has quick and responsive customer service. They reached out to me within a few days of completing the warranty registration and were interested in my opinions of their product. I offered some comments after a month and they again within a day replied to me.At this moment in time I would recommend this product and I plan on purchasing one or more of the other camera products for my parents’ home. However, below what I will list as “cons”, or objections if you like, would be from my view not so much a problem, but a refinement of the product. I suggest to ieGeek that the ideas I offer could improve an already pretty good product.Pros:Aesthetically pleasing design. Fairley easy installation. Functional phone app.Cons:Installation.1.) I recommended to ieGeek a different mounting system. The DQ201, is a complete unit that requires only two small screws to attach to a wall surface. However due to hole placement for the screws and that camera housing, the need for a long shaft screwdriver is recommended to insure you do not damage the camera. If you are using an electric screwdriver, you may not be able to get the correct angle unless you are using a longer bit or some extension. My recommendation for the mounting would be a two-part system. I recommend a base plate that is installed on the wall first, allowing for heavier and a greater number of screws. Then the camera can be locked onto the baseplate with a latch and potentially a key lock. The benefits here are ease of installation when unit is placed high up on a wall. Additionally, if or when you need pull or switch the SD card, it would be nice to quickly unlock the camera portion from the baseplate to be able to perform that task. The little doors sealing the SD card and accessing the SD card slot are not very easy to manipulate while high up on a ladder.2.) The DQ201 camera has a rotatable camera head that swivels up to 355 degrees. But placing the unit on a flat wall limits you effectively to 180 degrees unless you can place the unit close to an outside corner. My need was just that, so again a optional baseplate bracket shaped for an outside corner would have improved the usefulness of this style camera.Software:I used to be a computer programmer, and I found the logic and the functional layout (UX/UI) of the app could be improved. To me, the different functions seem scattered, where I tend to think in a drill down methodology.Lighting:The camera has lighting that is part of the ‘alarm’ system. It has happened that at night, there are sounds and things going on that I would like to check in on via the camera. But depending on the setting of the camera, (color night vision) when it is at night, when you access the camera on the app, it turns the light ‘ON’ automatically. You have now just alerted who or whatever is going on outside. I would have liked to be able to turn the light on or off as I please via a switch in the camera viewing mode. When mentioned to ieGeek here is their reply:1. If you do not want the white light to turn on, please turn off "Audio warning and strobe light" or select "Audio warning".2. Select "Black and white night vision";3. Do not open "light" manually;Motion Detection:You can set up multiple zones, but on this rotating camera it makes no sense. I offered some suggestions how that could be improved, but won’t bore you here with thatAlso, when swiveling the camera head, it can mistake for instance a street sign as a moving object, when in fact it is the camera that is moving. The software should note that when the camera head is moving stationary objects are NOT moving and not record the activity unless manually overridden. Conclusion:All in all, for the price, this is a nice little camera and seems to work well for my purposes. Admittedly I have no other brand to compare with so there may be better cameras for a better price. As stated before, I think there could be some improvements, but I am considering buying some cameras from ieGeek for my parents’ home, that is how much I feel good about this product and brand.Hope this review finds you well.

Great cameras at great prices!
Just got my third ieGeek camera (pan/tilt) and love it. So easy to install with the CloudEdge app (it talks you thru it). All 3 of mine are solar because I didn’t want to change/charge batteries, and the solar works flawlessly keeping it charged. Make sure u install your micro SD card before power the camera on and it’ll talk u thru the formatting.Easy to set your motion detection zone and notifications. I only turn on notifications if I’m out of town. I live next to a short term rental property and have had their guests try to come thru my back door. I was able to yell at them via the intercom from 100’s of miles away!! I’m gonna get 1 more for the garage area. Definitely worth the money.

Solar panel lasted less than a year!
The solar panel lasted less than a year and I live in a city that is sunny almost everyday. I can’t hard wire it, so it’s worthless! Spend the money and buy a high quality security camera!
