Exhaust Wrap Heat Shield Automotive Aluminum Material Muffler Wrap Insulation Armor, 12" x 38"

I have had this installed on my exhaust pipe for a year now, the insulation actually touches my spare tire and has never gotten hot enough to cause damage.

Seems to work really well at cutting down temps around my muffler.

Easy to work with and helped to reduce radiant heat on test pipes on 91 300zxtt

Using a dremel tool disc , I carefully cut a section of this material, for a fabrication project of forming a heat shield between the rear most engine cylinder head of my Indian Roadmaster , against the middle frame under my seat . To keep high heat from entering the wiring / ECM area of the motorcycle. Note , tin snips wouldn’t cut it because the outside shield appears to be made of stainless steel .

Easy to use and cuts easily. Forms and bends easy too. I used it between the valley cover and intake manifold on an LS engine. Will use the remainder on the outside of a cold air intake box. Probably buy a few more for the mufflers.

This was just the right size to cover one side of our combine exhaust manifold. The aluminum backing was the right thickness to be sturdy, yet easily cut, folded and shaped to wrap the manifold to prevent dust & debris accumulation from being a fire hazard. It came with steel zip ties that made it easy to secure to the motor. A bit of forward thought is helpful before making any cuts to the material during the installation.The wind from the radiator cooling fan is very strong and this material is of good enough quality to withstand it.I am confident the critters (raccoons & such) that find their way into the engine compartment in the off season will be be deterred from molesting this heavier duty material than the OEM wrap was.

After buying from a well known brand and running out I needed more heat shielding for my vintage RV. After reading some of the other reviews I took a chance on this and its just as good and less than half the price! In our RV our Passenger side exhaust manifold gets extremely close to the footwell and even on short drives the footwell would get hot, even with the manifold ceramic coated and the firewall insulated. I added this insulation between the wall and the manifold and now the footwell doesn't even get warm!Would definitely recommend this product!
