Is there a strong chemical smell with this and if so, how long does it last? Also, has anyone used it around cats?

It is said to be highly toxic to cats. Do not let them come in contact with any object that has been sprayed, including dogs, until it has thoroughly dried. I don't know what happens if a dog is sprayed and after it has dried the dog is out in the rain and then comes into contact with cat while wet. I have used a different brand of Permethrin, a 10% concentrate diluted 19-1 to soak my clothes and then allowed to dry. I am concerned about being in the rain and then having one of my cat friends jump on my lap.

Can this be used on patio furniture and will it stain white clothing?

Mosquitoes always so we can play!

My daughter is DEATHLY afraid of mosquitoes. So when we decided to take a trip to Costa Rica during the rainy season I knew we had to prepare. We sprayed this in all our clothing and let them air dry. There wasn’t a smell after it was dry. No stiffness. Couldn’t tell at all that it was on the clothes. My daughter only got bit once on the trip and it was on her face. I’d say this stuff kept the bugs away pretty well!

Be Careful When Using

Instructions say SHAKE WELL prior to use. The problem is that the bottle does not close well. Which means it does not tighten and there is always toxic liquid leaking. I'm sure it works in killing/repelling insects because even after washing my hands repeatedly with soap, the smell remains. This is also highly toxic to bees so watch out for those little guys.
