What a beautiful book! I couldn’t stop reading through all of the until I got to the very end! What a wealth of knowledge and story and detail into the food and history of an important region. Thank you for these beautiful pictures, recipes and all of the history you shared.

Recipes are simple yet versatile and taste complex (loving this as someone newer to cooking in general), my husband who’s the chef of the house has also unexpectedly taken up with this book! It’s absolutely gorgeous, has snippets of cultural insights, and most importantly- we’ve tried 4 recipes from this book so far and are yet to find one we don’t like (including our toddler)!

I bought this book a week or two ago and I’ve already cooked from it 5 times! This book has wonderful recipes and stunning photos! Excellent purchase!

I'm so glad I preordered this cookbook, even though calling it a cookbook feels almost disingenuous because it is so much more than that. The photos are lush and colorful, the food looks mouthwateringly delicious, and the stories interwoven are beautiful and heartbreakingly bittersweet. I've already earmarked the apricot baklawa and watermelon salad for summer solstice, and I know we will be making the barbecued whole chicken all summer long. Just launched today, this is one of the most beautiful cookbooks on the subject I've come across. It's a true feast to the palate and eyes. The photography is fantastic and evokes a certain nostalgia. The recipe collection is just as awesome. I can't wait to cook from it. Meanwhile, I'm absorbed into the beauty of its pages, stories and recipes. Palestinian food is very much alive no matter where in the world you may be.

Fadi Kattan's love for his homeland and all of Palestine shines through this beautiful book full of sights, delectable food, and the wonderful people he credits with inspiring him to be a great chef! Calling it a celebration of Palestinian food is an understatement. I haven't even gotten through the first section and I'm wishing I was there to see the places he shows and describes! Inshallah! Wow, absolutely in love with our new cookbook. It’s beautiful, the recipes are incredible and the storytelling is very heartwarming. He invites you in to Palestinian life and culture in an authentic way. Makes me want to go to Bethlehem and give everyone a hug. This will be the best gift. Well done! New favorite cookbook!

Beautiful cover!! This book should be on display in every kitchen. It’s a decorative piece on the outside and filled with vibrant photos accompanying delicious recipes. Altogether, this book is tells a story of Palestinians and their culture through their food.
