The magnification is great, there is a clear image and the magnifier has a large area to look through. I'm using mine for jewellery beading, the previous, somewhat smaller one I owned made it difficult to get a view of the whole piece, so the larger area here really helps. I tend to set it so I can focus on my hands rather than the table...you can't do both, but this is in the nature of focal points and I can still find my beads!Because it plugs in, via USB, the light is bright and consistent. The listing and recommended items suggests it needs batteries but this isn't the case.It comes with a table clamp and a heavy base. I've found both to be useful, I've got the clamp on my desk but occasionally I like to head in front of the television and the clamp wouldn't fit on my side table so the base makes it easy to use the magnifier wherever it suits. Both balance well.Great value for money, lovely and bright, clear image, good size and versatile in use. Totally recommend.

This has made it so much easier to do my diamond art. I can change the lighting to different shades of white, change the brightness and the magnifier is great. I have a large table to do my art and it cannot stretch to certain areas, however it would be better suited to smaller areas. It feels solid, the design is good and worth the money

This is a great magnifying lens and lamp. Its not too out of place on the corner of my desk. The set up was straight forward, no problems there.The metal base plate can get in the way of my cramped work area but its needed for weight and sturdiness. The adjustable arm doesn't feel too strong or secure when I move it around sometimes. But it does hold its position most of the time.The lens magnification is good for very fine detail work. The lights brighten up the work area and subject very well with the option to change the colour temperature slightly.I think it performs its functions very well and is a great buy at this budget friendly price.

I originally purchased this for diamond painting but I now use it exclusively when cross-stitching on 25 count fabric. The magnifier comes with both a metal stand as well as a table clamp. The clamp is strong and easy to tighten onto the edge of a table, or in my case, my embroidery stand. The light has several brightness settings as well as settings to change the colour temperature. I found the first "warm" level to be the most comfortable for my eyes.The viewable magnified area is only in the centre of the glass, so it can take a bit of shifting to make sure that my project is in focus, but it's not too bad. It would have been nice if the whole glass area was useable though. The magnifier is attached to a gooseneck arm which is nice and flexible, and feels sturdy. I do wish that it was a bit longer as it feels a bit short. This product is well made, and despite a few niggles, I would happily recommend this.

Excellent product. The light intensity can easily be changed to suit your needs and the magnifying lens seems to offer a really good view at a normal viewing distance. My only “slight “ criticism is that the stalk wobbles a little even when the adjustable screw is fully turned.

The Artdot logo in the centre of the stand rusts constantly. The magnifying glass itself is great, very useful, but the rusting on the stand is a big put-off.

I bought this to use when model making as I need to magnify small items and they also need to be well lit.This lamp seems to be good quality, comes with its own usb lead, but no adaptor. Its quite heavy with a sturdy metal base, the base has a sort of soft felt like covering underneath so it will not mark your surface.The lamp has a long flexible neck so can easily be manipulated into various positions. The lamp has several brightness levels and also several light colour tones, all easily adjusted with small buttons on the lamp.On its highest setting the light is very bright and even on its lowest setting it is bright enough for most things. Very pleased so far with this lamp, well made, well packed and delivered fast. Recommended.
