Slow and steady wins the race.
This gives me the ability to help my husband off the floor. He fell about a week before I ordered this. He is disabled and doesn't walk and can't help me get himself up. I went searching on Amazon to find something that would go to the floor and would be light enough for me to move to where ever he is. It is sturdy and surprisingly easy to move. It functions as in the description. The description says it moves slowly which it does. So far he hasn't fallen again. We live way out in the country and most of our neighbors are older, so no calling on them. I comes as a folded seat and back, with stabilizing legs which attach easily. I think this will be better than waiting for greater than 30 minutes waiting on an ambulance. Helping me get him up even once will be money and time saved.

A more dependable alternative to the polycarbonate lift.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I got this lift to replace the polycarbonate lift that Platinum also sells. The polycarbonate version worked until it didn't, and I did not want that to happen again. I wanted to get a lift that I could depend on and since I don't use it to get into the bathtub, . This metal version is heavy and does the job, but the part that interfaces with the floor needs to be put on before you can use it. Fortunately, these are stored on the chair and the chair itself has rollers so it can be moved easily to where it is needed. The only downside is that it is heavy, which I think is a plus.

Great product when necessary
I have had to use this five times since I purchased it to help raise a patient that fell to the ground. It has already paid for itself in my opinion. I am a single care-giver and unable to lift my patient on my own. This device allows me to do that on my own in an applicable circumstance.Pros: Quiet. Portable/rechargeable. Well built. Fold down arms. Built in leg storage. Works great. Does what it is made to do. Comes with "seat belt".Cons: Heavy. Bulky. Takes up space. Need to attach legs before using. Seat does not stay folded for storage. Expensive.

Life saver
The lift chair is very nice. It will lift you up about 22 inches which and it has arms where you can push yourself off and it goes all the way down to the floor and the seat is on the floor so there’s no 2 inch gaps on the floor where you gotta try to get up 2 inches plus the lift chair will hold approximately. I think 440 pounds so it’s heavy duty. It should hold up a long time. I am very impressed with the product and I would highly recommend it to anyone that needs to get up off the floor.

Design makes it horrible to anyone needing to use it.
I bought this for my mother and it's horrible. The problem is that the control mechanism to let you raise or lower the chair has to be disconnected and plugged in to charge seperately. Meaning that if my Mother needs this to help her get off the floor, she has to figure out how to undo the wiring to unplug the charger (like a lot of elderly she doesn't have a lot of grip strength) and then find where to plug the control module into the chair before it works. This is a horrible design. There is no reason this chair couldn't just stay plugged into the wall and the control unit powered off of it too. They didn't have to share the same connection. Very unfriendly to someone who actually may need to use it depending on why they are on the floor. It also happens to be slower than molasses

Works great for falls.
Excellent product. Well made & works great. Only complaint is that the supporting legs should lock in place..

Good but has issues
I bought this chair mainly to help with the older gentleman I take care of. He is a big guy and is very hard to get him up off the floor on my own. Shortly after I purchased the chair I had to use it to get him up off the floor. It is quite heavy, and even with the small wheels on it, it is very difficult to maneuver. Then once u get it in place, then u have to put the legs on it to help support it. Who ever designed this did a very poor job. Every time I moved the chair the legs would fall off, I would then have to stop and re put them on, taking up precious time in getting the elderly gentleman off the floor. Plus the seat dosent stay up unless u wrap the seat belt around it, but that dosent hold it tight.Once I managed to finally get everything together and staying there , I finally was able to get the elderly gentleman on the chair and off the floor.Once I got him on the chair, it worked fine. A little slow, but that's ok.I do have to say that it is well built, and sturdy, but has some bad design flaws. The manufacturer should at least look into redesigning the issues that not only I find bad, but other customers do as well.

Came the perfect time!!!
This is a life saver. My 87 year old dad (he’s topping 230 pounds) has a weak leg and I got this after an episode of having to get my Dad up off the floor. We didn’t want to call 911 - so this seemed like a good option. It works!!!! Solid. Got my Dad up and dignified (as much as possible). Worth every penny!
