TRIPOD CELL PHONE HOLDER
I really like that this holder is not a spring load but instead I have the ability to hand tighten to my liking and I don't need to remove my cell phone case to use it. My phone with its silicone case on, fits tight once I screw hand tighten the securing screw and doesn't try to pop back out of the holder. The stand is made of heavy weight plastic and well reinforced where needed so no danger of breaking it while loading the phone into it. The remote has an off switch that when turned on immediately started the pairing process and connected to my phone immediately upon me requesting it pair. The remote works extremely well with all of the different camera setting on my phone and I would venture to say would do the same with all smart phones. I did need to change the camera setting to video to record in order for the remote to work with video and am positive this will be the case with all bluetooth phones. I would buy it again and do recommend this product to anyone needing a cell phone holder for their tripod stand. I like that we didn't need to purchase a second tripod stand but can instead change out from cell phone to 35 mm camera with very minimal effort. simply unscrew one screw, screw the base on to my camera, clip it in the tripod and I'm set to take pictures. about a 1 minute process and I'm ready to shoot again.

A Good Value
It’s plastic; what are expecting for eight bucks? But the threaded inserts are brass, and that’s what matters.I prefer this sort of screw-adjustable phone holder to the spring-loaded ones which are always too weak or too strong. The screw-adjusted type are especially important if you have your phone in a leather or other “delicate” case; the spring-loaded type can damage your case. This holder is plenty big for most phones even in bulky cases. This device consists of two parts, the actual phone holder and then this sort of pivot thing which is, I suppose, necessary to hold your phone in portrait orientation or at some artistic angle. But for most use in landscape mode (especially for teleconferencing) you don’t actually need that. It detaches easily and the clamp has a 1/4x20 socket of its own doe landscape orientation. This cuts down the bulk and the weight. I specifically wanted this thing to use with a small flimsy tripod I have for teleconferencing on-the-go. Using a tripod frees up your hands, saves a lot of fatigue, and gives a more-professional image, so it’s good to carry a small tripod and one of these phone holders when on-the-road.The shutter remote is a nice bonus. It paired with my iPhone easily and works fine. It’s nice when taking pictures on a tripod as you can active the shutter without touching the phone and introducing vibrations. In conclusion, for eight bucks I think this is a dandy tripod adapter for a phone.

Remote works at 35 Ft, fits selfie stick
The media could not be loaded. I'm cautiously pleased. The first attached photo shows what's in the box. The second photo shows the remote works at 35 feet (see remote description).Tripod mountThe mount is a standard size bracket that works with my selfie stick tripod and with the plate on my regular tripod. Phone swivels to from horizontal and veritical without resistance. My Samsung was held securely without the case. Not so well with the phone out of the case (as usual for my gear).RemoteThe remote feels cheap. I'm a little bummed that it has a button battery and cannot be recharged. However, it pairs quickly and easily. I used it for an afternoon without being bumped off Bluetooth or draining the battery. The other thing is that you can't tell how much battery is left. So, I'll be carrying an extra battery just in case it's needed.I tested the distance on a flat even national park parking lot. As my usual, I was standing straight in front of the phone while aiming the remote directly at it. At about 35 feet it started registering about every 3rd click or so. By around 40 feet it wouldn't pick up at all. It's not bad though. That puts it along the distance that I measured my other phone remotes. My intent for the order was to replace my missing tripod mount. I ordered this one since the price was about the same as for both as for the mount alone. Overall, it seems to be a good purchase for the money.

Worth the price
For a cheap, little tripod adapter, this actually works very well. It's solid, tilts and rotates, and will fit any standard tripod mount. It also holds the phone firmly in place. The enclosed Bluetooth remote sets up in a few seconds … turn it on and pair it in the phone's Bluetooth menu. Works great!

Good holder
I like this for the quality at a decent price. I prefer this over spring-loaded phone holders myself - easier to put camera in and out.

Update: Can go online to learn how to pair the remote with iPhone. Also works with iPhone.
Tried to get the remote to work. Can turn it on using the switch on the side to cause the blue light to blink, but it does not work. UPDATE: Can go online to learn how to "pair" remote with iPhone. Can also take pictures remotely with Apple watch. Seller should have provided instructins. Seems now to work. With easy to understand instructions, would rate 5 stars.
