I use this to jump start my mowers. It starts my zero turn mower and my 50 year old wheel horse. It starts them on the first try. It is small but has enough power to start my Ram truck when I left the lights on, started on the first try.Just remember not to leave it in your car or truck when it is really hot out. the instructions say not to store in heat over 60 degrees Celsius which is 140 Fahrenheit. at that temperature is can start on fire.

I recently purchased this Jump starter and I absolutely happy with it. It helped me a lot to start my car 2-3 times. It is very easy to use. Battery has good power capacity and excellent quality. It is lightweight and multifunctional like USB ports, flashlights. We can use it as a power bank as well. It comes with storage case. Jump starter has onscreen LCD display which shows precise status of power percentage. It is really useful for me. A highly recommended product!

Works well when fully charged. Keep it in your car, don't go anywhere without it!

I've had this just under a year now. I've had to use this a few times now for a V8 rig that sits a lot and I do not have a trickle for. It fires the '97 Suburban V8 right up! Love it. I've also used this to power a LED hanging light when camping. Its not the best use for this device cuz it will drain it. But it can be used like that and to charge a phone, etc.. It charges back up to 100% quickly. I've had it drop to the 75 - 80% range after a dead start use.. but that's not too bad. It holds a charge for quite a while. I'd check it every so often if you leave it the car, just to be safe. The price was great and this device exceeded my expectations for the cost!

I was sceptical of the functionality of this jump-starter due to the price of $25. Originally I was planning on purchasing a "Batteryless" jump-starter but did not want to spend $125 so I figured I give this one a try and if it didn't work well I would return the unit.But, to my surprise, this jump-started works much better than I expected.I tested the unit on a completely dead 7 year old battery. The old battery will not hold a charge at all.Even the interior dome light was not illuminating.And to my surprise my truck cranked and started like there was a fully charged battery. The start was not a slow crank at all.The battery in my truck is 7 years old and I am aware that it needs to be replaced but I wanted to test the starter multiple times.I started the truck 5 times in a row and it started like I had a new battery installed each time.After 5 starts the battery level on the jump-starter was at 50%, but I believe I used up 50% because the battery is no good any longer.The way the jump-starter seems to work is, the unit detects the voltage, or the state of charge, then it juices up the capicitors with-in a few seconds. If the battery is shot like the one in my truck, it draws the power from the capicitors, the green light goes off for a couple seconds while the capicitors re-energize, and the cycle starts over again.I think I would have drawn less from the jump-starter if my battery wasn't shot.I attached the jump-starter on a fully charged good battery and the green light was solid and stayed lit because the battery was not sdrawing all the power from the capicitors.I have used other jump starters like this in the past and there were several steps that must be completed before cranking to start the car. ... turn unit on, set to boost, wait a couple minutes for the green light, and start. If the start failed on the first try one would have to go through that 3 step cycle again.But unlike older jump-startes, these capicitors re-energize within a couple seconds.Also, with this unit, all you have to do is hit the power button, a couple seconds later the green light illuminates and the car is ready to be started.I am really impressed with Gillaway Jump Starter Battery Pack, 4500A Peak Car Battery Charger Jump Starter for Up to 10.0L Gas or 8.0L Diesel Engine.I plan on leaving the Gillaway jump-starter in the car charged to 75/80% in an attempt to make the unit last as long as possible. (Li-Ion batteries age faster when stored at 100%)It would be great if this jump-starter used exchangable 18650 batteries. Chances are, this unit is actually using a couple 18650 batteries, so if the batteries in this unit ever do fail I will probably be able to replace & solder replacments if needed, but I'm not going to open the case untill required.The Gillaway jump-starter came shipped at 70% batter level. I topped off jump-starter to 100% and 2 weeks later it is still at 100%, so that tells us that it does have a li-Ion battery. If it had a NiCad battery it would not have remained at 100%.Again, I am pleasently surprised and pleased with this jump-starter.It works just as well as a $125 jump-starter.I will update this review in a couple months.

Jump started 4 cars with this and 2 of them were completely dead batteries. Worked Amazing and better than my old jumper box. It jumped a bmw and those require alot of jump power

Odd behavior- it seems to take 2% battery life every 1% it charges my phone (standard iphone or galaxy), I guess I don't have high hopes that it can actually start a vehicle based on the battery %, just turning the display on took another 2%, maybe it's defective..I got it with a 70% charge and just turning the LED flashlight on for about 30 seconds took 3% battery. I mean if it actually started a car, great! maybe I am misunderstanding the technology? the unit itself seems very light but decent build, I would have thought it would be at least as heavy as my anker 20k mag battery pack, but it's not.., the biggest surprise was actually the well thought out case it came it!
