Great tool from a trusted merchant
A very good Made in the United States product by Milspin. I’m a fan of Milspin and have purchased many of their products multiple times over the past few years. Like myself, the founders of Milspin are fellow veterans so have my respect and support. Stay away from the “knockoffs”, they are junk. This Chaos bar is a solid piece of metal and I purchased it for a “just in case I need one” scenario. Make sure you practice using it by getting to know various types of doors and the locking mechanisms utilized. Obviously, it will not work with a deadbolt so keep that in mind. Overall, it’s a well built tool and has multiple functions. The only thing I don’t like is the awkward shape, which makes it challenging for carrying. If you put it in a carrying bag of some sort, I would place the “pointed” end upwards to lessen the chances of poking a hole in the bottom of the bag. I’m retired law enforcement so I always think of “options” when facing an “obstacle” and the Chaos bar gives you multiple options…for those with “criminal intent”, let me remind you that using this tool in the commission of a crime will be another criminal charge tacked on the indictment…all parties are considered innocent until convicted in a court of law. Good steel
It's perfectly sized, works like other bars. The steel is good quality but the coating can chip if you aren't careful. Very simple and worth the investment.

Door opening tool
I do some work doing fire follow up, meaning I am not an actual firefighter that goes into burning buildings, but rather is one of the guys that hangs around later, wetting down anything that shows signs of heat or smoke. The other guys are the heroes, I'm the cleanup, lol. Anyway, occasionally I see the need to open a door here and there just to check for any smoke or possible embers, and this seems to be an unobtrusive way to do it. The shape allows for opening many self-locking doors, both inward and outward swinging, which is what I was looking for. Haven't used it in the field yet, but have messed around with it on the doors at home, and it opened them. It works by pushing the bolt in by prying gently against the angled/ramped side of the bolt, retracting it in the same manner as it retracts when you shut the door and the bolt hits the face plate. It is not for heavy prying. Looks to be well made and about the right size to be fairly compact yet large enough to grip/manipulate easily.

It works!!
It's a little big and bulky but gets the job done. It's nice and sturdy too, so you shouldn't have to worry about bending it while using it.

This thing is the real deal!
Firefighting isn't for sissies and neither is this tool! Forcing entry into a building with active fire is simple; bust it down as quickly as possible. When we're on an EMS run, however, we need something that is as effective as a set of irons while doing as little damage as possible. That's where the CHAOS bar comes in. It allows for maximum effectiveness with minimum damage. Every second counts for us and there are no do-overs. We need dependable tools that increase efficiency and won't weigh us down. Thanks Milspin for continuing to serve ALL of us.

Waste of time and money
Product bent at the latch part and somehow got wedged in the doorframe pinned against the latch. Essentially the part of this that’s supposed to get behind the latching mechanism of the door handle, yeah that bent this “durable” tool and got it stuck.Ended up having to get a drill bit to core out the handle from the keyhole effectively destroying said handle. Don’t waste your money on this. I ended up donating to the scrap yard.

Rad piece of kit
I got the email that Milspin just released these. I had to just go and buy it because I really like the people and the Milspin company. Looks like a durable piece of kit. I tried it on a few doors on my home and it works with some limitations. I’ll stash it in my kit and hopefully never need to use it. Milspin, keep doing what you do.

Won't fit in bunker gear
It's a solid tool but far too large to fit in my gear. I ended up getting a smaller set of tools that are able to do the same things as this.
