High quality knife with great material and construction
This is a high quality knife with great materials, fit and construction. The blade is 1066 high carbon steel, and is plenty robust with a tang going all the way to end of the handle. It fits the hand well. It came razor sharp from the box and it stays sharp. I cut a 1 inch diameter stick to a sharp point and it was still razor sharp. The sheath with included ferro rod is well designed for fit and function. I would pick this knife for most outings. The only con is the 1066 steel will rust, so keep it clean and oiled. If stored in leather sheath it may rust, so oil the blade, always keep it oiled. To store long term, oil it, then protect the edge from cutting and store in a box OUTSIDE the sheath. I make temporary scabbards from a box with duct tape.BH on 17Aug2025

Great bargain, excellent quality.
Excellent quality, Made in Ukraine where it has to be tough. Heavy duty blade and full Tang will certainly take a hammering. Excellent finish and sharpness right out of box. Sliced through the packing paper so smoothly I felt no resistance, cut was clean and sure. Would recommend for anyone looking for a durable long-lasting camping knife. Very good bargain for the price.

Great bushcraft knife, well made.
I got this as a gift for my wife and I am very impressed. The knife came shaving sharp in a nice sheath with a lanyard amd a ferro rod. The hardwood handle is nice instead of the rubber- like handles that get sticky in hot weather and looks very classy. The blade is full tang and decently thick for batoning, and the size is very nice. Substantial without being too large. All in all, a great basic bushcraft/ camping knife that is soilidly made and a good value.

Good value
This knife gets a lot of things right; a thin blade and a thicker handle, which many manufacturers seem to get backward. The blade stock is not too thick which makes this good at doing knife things like slicing and shaving wood. The handle is nice and full. It is not the typical thin handle that manufactures usually put on knives. You can get a nice grip on the handle and it is comfortable without weird finger grooves and contours that fit only some hands. This handle should fit all hand sizes. The blade came very sharp and the grind angle seems to be suited for cutting rather than heavy duty non-knife tasks. The knife blade is wide which gives it a nice appearance but it makes it feel a lot less nimble than a knife like a mora companion. The back can scrape a ferro rod and the part of the tang with the lanyard hole is definitely sharp enough for a ferro rod and could probably scrape out a spoon. The sheath is OK. It looks nice and the leather is soft, but I would prefer the knife to secure in different way without the clasp. A stiffer leather with a friction fit is my preference. I'm still giving it 5 stars though because I really think there should be less micarta and G10 in the world and more wooden handles, and this knife got that right and I appreciate that. So far the 1066 steel seems fine. It is by no means a junk steel and also by no means a high end steel. It is a decent steel for a knife and should be more than adequate for outdoor use.

Solid and hefty
Not a bad knife. It's large and hefty which can be a benefit or drawback depending on your needs. The build is solid and the holster is thick. I prefer a lighter build and a point on the end, but this will work great as a camp knife for me.

Amazing!
I can't believe how inexpensive this knife was, compared to the overall quality. The leather sheath is well made and rigid. The knife it's self is super sharp, right out of the box! Very impressed with the overall weight and look of them both. If your looking for a superior bush knife, look no further. Make the purchase, you'll be glad you did.

Buy this knife!
So far this knife is EXACTLY everything it says it is.It is pretty darn sharp out of the box, and everything feels pretty good quality. So far I cannot believe the quality and just the overall value for the 40$ I paid for this knife. I have rated this 5 starts right off. Seems like the knife should last a lifetime and I believe with due time my rating will stay 5 stars. If considering buying this knife, you should… I definitely do recommend

Sheath is junk.
The knife is good, exactly as described. The sheath is crap, way too loose and the strap came off the first time I opened it and I could not get it to go back on. I had to order another sheath from another company and am waiting for it to come in. Will see if it makes a difference.
