This is to SEE if your CO2 is as okay. When the liquid is green the water is in balance - Blue or yellow it is not. This indicator hangs over the edge of the tank - the open end of the tube MUST be in the water not just the tank (the reactive liquid in the ball side is outside).

Do u put this right above the bubble releaser

No because you will get a false reading. Put it at the opposite corner of the tank to where your bubbler is.
