This is my first time having hard boiled egg steamer, and I am obsessed. The price was perfect, it is so small and compact and super easy to clean and it does an amazing job. I can’t stop making eggs, hard boiled and soft boiled and delicious perfect for salads and breakfast and experimenting with deviled eggs

Purchased this to replace my old egg cooker and it performs mostly the same (the old one I had lost the parts to in a move)These little things are amazing if you are big on eggs. Want hard boiled eggs for egg salad. This will have em ready in a jiffy with consistent results. Like poached eggs with your ramen but can't get the stovetop tricks to work for you? Easy poached eggs every time. Want a quick omelet for breakfast, put your ingredients in, turn the knob, and do other morning stuff while this takes care of the rest.On top of this I took some time to test this with my powerstation in case I decide to take this camping sometime (I probably won't, but it's good to know it'll work). There's a lot of variance in actual energy used depending on what you are making, but even a smaller powerstation can handle this cooker with relative ease.Some people have commented on the smell and it's just kind of the thing with egg cookers. steam cooking eggs has a DEFINITE smell to it and it's not really avoidable. I don't think this is a real issue, but it's something to be aware of if you have a sensitive nose.

It’s a good machine with the eggs peeling ALOT better than when I try to make boiled eggs. Just match the water level to the kind of cook you want your eggs to be and done, perfect boiled eggs. The only thing that I would have to ding about this product is what a lot of people are saying with the auto shut off. It would be nice if it alerts when it’s down but it doesn’t and you just have to go based on the auto shut off. There has been a few times that the shut off was one and then a few seconds later would turn back up without me realizing it. So that’s the only thing bad I would say about this product, other than that, it’s great way for easy peeled boiled eggs.

This egg cooker is amazing. I just tried my first batch and could not be happier with the results. I cooked 14 eggs, 10 large and 4 extra large (just because that's what I had) and they turned out perfectly. Very, very slightly overcooked, but that can be fixed by adding a tiny bit less water. As per the instructions I put them in cool water as soon as they were finished, and they peeled like a dream. That little punch in the big end made all the difference in the world. I would absolutely, positively highly recommend this to anybody who likes hard boiled eggs. No mess and virtually no work. Just put the water in, put the eggs in turn it on and forget about it until they're finished. Don't forget to keep an eye on the light so that you know when they're finished and you can put them in the cold water. Mine has a permanent place on my very limited counter space. Very good product, works very well.
