Is this the new version of the toy, including the new safety feature of the bar across the top? Previous version is unsafe, trying to find new version

As of Jan 20, 2022 they still have the safety bar. I recieved mine yesterday (Jan 20, 2022) and my cat absolutely would've stuck her head in there if the bar wasn't there.

Does Petstages sell replacement balls for this toy?

Ping pong balls work but my cat would continually dislodge and lose them. I found "Callaway Practice Perforated Golf Balls 24pk" at Target that are slightly heavier than ping pong balls, and come in a pack of 24 for $4. We currently have the one level toy with the ball and my cat can pull the ball out in under a minute. Do these balls easily pull out?

I have 7 cats and 2 of these Toys. 2 of my cats don’t usually play with toys but love this one. They have never gotten the balls out. 2 of my cats are large and strong - 20 & 21 pounds. They also turn it upside down when they get rough. They still play with it and it works upside down too. I’ve bought 3 of these for gifts and everyone has loved them!

Do the balls have noise makers inside of them like bells?
