Never again
I bought this camera from this seller 3/15/24. I knew it was old so I purchased the extended protection plan through asurion. What a joke! The camera quit working so I submitted a request to get it fixed. No problem so I try to contact asurion and they said it was still under manufacturer warranty... this camera is 50+ years old no it isn't. Finally get a claim filed and they LOSE my camera i took directly to ups and denied my claim so instead of having a broken camera I should have taken to someone local to fix I now have no camera. I will never buy from this seller or purchase an asurion protection plan again.

I’m happy not ecstatic.
There are some small cosmetic defects and the winding lever is not as crisp as other AE1’s I’ve had my hands on, but I would not expect better condition for a camera this old.

Film Door Wouldn’t Open at First
Film door is jammed, camera unusable, Have tried lifting the rewind lever and everything. nothing.Edit, Finally got it open, yes I tried the same thing over and over again, pulling up the rewind lever. Eventually popped open. Loaded film in, maybe it’s just the film or maybe I didn’t have it loaded properly but the advance lever does not feel as smooth as I know it should. The rewind lever is rotating but also not as smooth as it should be. I have not gotten the photos developed yet so again I don’t know what’s going to happen. I do think it’s the film though. I am using Kodak Ultra Max. As I was taking photos the door did pop open a slight bit on its own, I’m pretty sure I just didn’t have it closed tight but I was on my 5/6th photo already and it hadn’t opened until then. Hoping my film didn’t get ruined but who knows until I get it developed.Other reviews mentioned not getting a 50mm lens but I did. Camera is all black and not grey and black like advertised though. Still very nice looking.

Use the right description or picture next time. To much money for this!
Sent me a different color camera than the one showing above all black. Already a bad start because I really like the black and silver 2 tone!!! My light indicator inside doesn’t move or blink to let me know what settings I need to take photos,Also it says excellent condition, I see scuff and scratches on this camera. I know they repair and replace parts but show the exact camera next time!!!
