Is this oatmeal good for making skerlie?

Interesting question. This is Scottish oatmeal... made in Scotland from Scottish oats. If you are making a Scottish dish like Skerlie, I don’t suppose there’s a better oatmeal on the planet to use.

Is the red bag an "instant" variety or regular longer cooking? Hamblyn's is the best oatmeal ever but not sure about this selection.

Not instant. The oat is crushed and would be a little finer than steel cut oats. Cooking time is about 10 min or less.

Does it have a kosher certification?

I don’t see anything on the package to indicate it has certification.
