You can tell the manufacture took care in designing the best possible silicon case. If you want the best Silicon Case for your Sony A7II, this is the case to purchase. The other/cheaper silicon cases are junk.I searched and purchased a few of the other silicon cases that were about half the price of this one (You've seen them doing your own research). All of the other silicon cases were smooth (dust magnets and no texture) and didn't fit as nice. You can actually feel OTHER silicon cases slightly move/slip when you grab your camera.This case has a nice texture/grip and fits the camera tight and perfectly. You get no movement under your grip, and the case feels more ridged. I do use an L-Bracket, and the L-Bracket still fits. I am careful when installing the bracket and compress the bottom of the case evenly.Not so good?: Like others have reported on this and the A7III version (More reviews there) and all other silicon cases, access to the hot shoe and front dial are hindered. The hot shoe cover should be "hinged" from the front, not the rear of the case. Its a design flaw IMO, its difficult to install a flash with the cover blocking your way (I may cut it off). While the hot shoe cover is annoying, the front dial is so recessed on the camera without a case, when you add this case, it becomes difficult to rotate that dial. You basically have to push a bit harder to use the dial. This case also hinders access to rear ISO dial, but that I would call a feature, since I often turn that dial on accident, this case helps protect that "wheel" from accidental rotation. None of these issues are deal breakers, just something to expect.

This does not fit the A7R III, as the C3 button is on the wrong side, and does not accomodate the record button.

Had some overlap that made button usage difficult. Returned after trying during one shoot.

Just got my husband a new camera for Christmas since he was a 35mm camera nut from years past. I was looking for a case that would allow for control of a majority of functions while providing protection to the camera body. This is a very good fit. It’s easy to put on, allows for a firm grip without feeling sticky or bulky. Very aesthetically pleasing, and light. I went with black to match the camera body but a few other colors are available also. Overall, very pleased with the product and price….a nice addition to what I hope will be a beautiful camera for my husband.
