If you loved Autobiograpy of a Yogi, you'll love this book, too
I love this book. It reminds me of Paramhansa Yogananda’s classic Autobiography of a Yogi—not too surprising, I suppose, as Kriyananda was a leading direct disciple of Yogananda. As with Yogananda’s autobiography, Kriyananda’s accounts in this book made me feel as though I were there with him, and that he was a humble seeker when in fact he was highly advanced himself. It's so rare and refreshing to see a saint's detailed account of his/her private times with other saints. These stories are so varied and fascinating, full of the spiritual wisdom shared by his hosts as well as his own insights into their lives, their teachings, and the spiritual path in general. It’s a delightful and inspiring read. I wish the book were even longer!—Nayaswami Gyandev, PhD

DEEPLY INSPIRING!! TRULY A SPIRITUAL PILGRIMAGE . . .
This is a very inspiring book. Through the author's words, I was transported to the sacred land of India and into the presence and consciousness of the holy saints he visited. I felt their love, their blessings, their wisdom . . . a beautiful spiritual high as if I was right there, on pilgrimage with Kriyananda. The stories in this book remind me of the stories of the saints in Paramahansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi. Highly recommended if you're looking for an inspiring read.

What's it like to be in the presence of a saint?
Visits To Saints of India is Swami Kriyananda's personal journey visiting India and also a little bit of Italy. If you have wanted to visit India, and would like a taste of what it would be like, this book will satisfy your pilgrim yearnings. My favorite chapters are his personal time with Anandamayee Ma and Sathya Sai Baba. We can't all go to India, but we can share in these first hand accounts the blessings of being in the presence of saints.

Stays with you long after reading it
The stories from Visits to Saints of India are especially moving since they are told by a saint, Swami Kriyananda, about his visits with other saints. This book takes the reader into the timeless vibration of divine love, as we witness saints communing with saints. The blessings and inspiration one experiences through Kriyananda’s stories are deeply profound, at times indescribable, and continues to deepen days after reading it.

The Saints are the Doorways to Divine Love
If not for the saints of every tradition, how would we know that the spiritual journey eventually bears fruit? Kriyananda describes his experiences in a way that brings you into their transforming presence. The vibration of saints uplifts my heart and gives me hope.

Great addition to my Yogananda library.
Any insights to the saints that Yogananda mentions in his autobiography are welcome.

Give it a read
A well-written collection of letters penned by Swami Kriyananda (J. Donald Walters), direct disciple of the great Paramhansa Yogananda; brother disciple of Sri Daya Mata and Roy Eugene Davis. Swami Kriyananda has a way with words that makes the reader not only read but imbibe what he has to say. The Saints covered in this book include celebrated ones like Ma Anandamoyee and Sri Sathya Sai Baba. All in all, this was a swiftly-reading and quite intriguing piece of literature that I’d recommend.
