The studiness of the packaging was a bit lacking; however, the product itself arrived undamaged. These cakes are delicious and moist. I was worried about them having sat in my mailbox all day in the heat, but no noticeable issues. I look forward to having these with my afternoon tea and will be ordering more for sure.

I learned about these from the Great British Baking Show and was curious to try them. I didn't realize they were coming from the UK when I ordered them through Amazon, but....these are amazing! We were really blown away by the delicate nature of these little cakes.Yes, expensive...but what a fun adventure to experience them!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:great flavor delicious! Package arrived squashed and cakes were damaged! The packaging was really bad ! Expensive for what you get! I did not read the description well enough because I thought I was getting a loaf sized cake. They are small and individually wrapped. Having said that they were delicious. I served them to friends at a tea and everyone just gobbled them up.

This little cake thing was probably the best thing that has ever gone in my mouth. And a lot of things have gone in my mouth. But not like this. If the sponge on the Inside was any more moist, it would be liquid. If I could, I would unwrap the almond marzipan from the sponge and attach it to my face so I could absorb it better. And if all that wasn’t good enough, there’s a whisp of sugar that is rationed so perfectly that pissed me off. Why would you only put 5 in a package. I’m American, that’s half of what it should be. Now I have to order double.

I ordered these on Jan 6th to receive them for my husbands bday in Feb. It’s now March 10th and I still have not received them and it still says “shipped”. Did seller actually ship them? I don’t know. We’re they lost coming from the UK? I don’t know. Did a worker eat them? Maybe. Seller never got in touch with me so I contacted Amazon who did refund my money. But I want the cakes!! They are so sweet and yummy and we can’t get them here in the US. Very disappointed in the whole ordeal.

We ordered these because we saw them on the great British Baking Show. We wanted to try some marzipan like those crazy Brits. I was not expecting them to taste so good. They disappeared fast at our house. They were very fresh when they arrived in small town America.
