Q: How long dose it take to charge?

Take out of the box & charge until the orange light goes out (about 4 to 6 hrs) after that it takes about 3 or 4 hours as long as you don't play it for the full 8 hours.

Q: Can i pair this with a sony bravia tv (xbr-55x900c)

Yes, if the tv has bluetooth function.

Q: I cannot plug the charging cord into the xb20 anymore . how much do i force into the receptacle?

Did you try another charging cord if that doesn’t work the xb 20 usb connector is damaged it needs to be replaced or buy another xb20 outway the cost on repair or another speaker happened to me on an older JBL speaker. The xb 20 is readily available.

Q: Does this have 3.5mm audio output?

The 3.5mm jack appears to be only input, not output. Using the 3.5 input supersedes any Bluetooth connection. I believe the echo dot (Alexa) has an output 3.5.
