E-BOGU Set of Shinai Samurai Bamboo Katana Sword (Size 39(47"/120 cm))

I'm no shanaiologist but this pair is of high quality. I was impressed, mostly because I don't remember ordering them. I was watching a Star Wars marathon while drinking. Managed to make it through all the movies and the bottle. Woke up to an "your items have been shipped" email and here we are.

The shinai is very durable, built of high-quality material, and sustained a lot of practice sparrings of the HEMA style fencing.

I love these Shinai. I use them for my western sword school for new students and for hot days or for when we feel less inclined to wear lots of HEMA protection. I have had adult and teen students use these repeatedly for sparring and drill against pells. They have been working flawlessly. The leather is good quality for the price. The bamboo was not dried out although I did wood treat them as any serious practitioner should do if planning on keeping a shinai in good working order. They flex well, stay grippy in the hand and put just enough presence of force to keep the actions honest. Five stars. Will buy again for my students. Am about to right now.

High quality Shinai, prefect for daily trainings and beginners. This shinai will definitely last long and the weight distribution toward the handle, makes for a stronger, more controlled swing. E-bogu is famous for making kendo equipment!

Cheap but works well. I strongly recommend this shinai!!I had another kind of shinai before. It got bad after I use three times. I got really surprised. This one is pretty good. No problem even though we have been using this 5 month already:)

My only complaint is that the leather for the handle isn’t treated; it flakes every now and again, but that’s a minor thing. The Shinai perform well; though I haven’t put them through a stress test, I imagine they can take a beating from how I’ve used them thus far.

Outstanding. The ties slip toward the tip of the stick, but sliding them back into position is easy and effective. Great product for the price. Sturdy, great for kids and adults.

I bought these for a gift, and the recipient loved them. Good buy.
