Great, inexpensive and fundamental equipment.
I absolutely love this equipment. I'm very wary of home exercise equipment because so much turns out to be a gimmick but this is great for doing basic exercises that can otherwise be difficult to do in the home. Although I try to stay relatively fit I've realized that I really need to work on pull ups and chinups. They are more difficult than you think and I'm having a great time building my strength.I wasn't expecting to get so much out of the dip station but its great as well. Hanging dips are a lot more challenging than with your feet resting on the floor or even a table. Same with the elevated pushup grips. That extra few inches above the floor allows me to get a much greater stretch and the results are great.I guess just as important to all of the above is the quality of the equipment. This seems to be rock solid after a fairly easy assembly. I say this after it arriving with several holes in the packaging and some pieces falling out as I moved it into my house. I expected to be missing hardware but luckily everything made it. I worry that some of the padding will wear early but nothing so far.At this price, this is a seriously great piece of equipment.

Nice addition to a home gym
This is a nice sturdy body weight exercise station.I got it after the doorway pull up bars keptneother ruining the paint on the doors or just didn’t work. The house is old and has very thick, ornate casing around the doors so most of the pull-up bars don’t work as they won’t fit over the top casing and the kind that go within the doorway using your weight to press outward to increase its holding strength don’t work on certain painted surfaces which doesn’t inspire confidence in repeatedly hanging my full weight from it (mainly an issue of pads slipping a little). So I felt that I needed to free up a little space in the room and get this “power tower” style pull up bar, with a bonus of being able to use for incline push-ups, chest dips, triceps dips, leg raise ab work and of course variations on the pull up like wide grip or one handed (not there yet lol)Anyway this has worked out great, pun not intended. The construction is mostly metal, it’s held together by large nuts and bolts and while it says it’s a two person job, I was able to complete construction on my own in about an hour give it take. It would have been nice to have had some help though at the beginning so definitely shoot for a partner build to skip awkwardly propping parts up to get them secured. Once the base is stable, the rest is easy. The cushions are comfortable to rest on and easy to wipe down. Very similar to the ones in the gym. The grips could be more padded but just invest in some padded workout gloves and that doesn’t matter so much.I was barely able to do 1 wide grip pull up when I started, and now I can do 3 sets of 5 with a 30 second test between. I’m not a super athletic guy but I already see a difference in my posture, and my back pain has lessened.since I don’t round my shoulders as much as I used to. Sometimes I just hang until I can’t anymore and that’s a nice stress reliever and gets the blood flowing. All in all a great product that I’ll have for years and hope to move to a dedicated workout space some day instead of just a corner in my office.

Solid, if not spectacular pull-up bar
I'm 6'0 190lbs and this pull-up bar works pretty well for me. The grips that come with the bar are pretty bad, so I'd reccomend also investing in some athletic tape to tape up the bar and give you more stability and comfort while you pull / dip. The bar itself is very sturdy and I've never worried about it being able to hold my weight, but it can definitely be a bit unstable and start to tip if you pull up too fast. Putting a light sandbag on each side of the base would get rid of that problem, but it can be annoying if you don't have anything to put down. Initial assembly was pretty simple, and it's easy to disassemble for transport by removing the 6 screws that hold the whole thing together at the mid-section.

Honest review
This is my 3rd power tower from amazon. I bought 2 others, both around the $140-150 range. I can say the quality and sturdiness of this machine is by far the best I've experienced outside of a gym. It has its slight bend when doing dips (but it's supposed to) In 5 o'clock traffic, engineers design the bridge to shake when you're stopped on it. Same thing here. Also this is definitely made from stronger material with more integrity than similar power towers. Not to sound like a bro, but to give an idea - I'm 165 and hang with an additional 60lbs on dips and it's no problem for the movement. The pull up bar is also noticeably sturdier compared to my other 2 models I've experienced. Both pull up grips dont move around so the grip is solid. It does take up some space so be prepared to have some wall and area space available. The only gripe I have is that it didnt come with the tools to put it together. I could have been upset, but if you buy something and you know you have to put it together, you should probably have some tools around. It took about 2 hours to put together. I dropped the back plate piece on my toe and it's bruised up pretty nicely. 2 people to assemble are better than 1, however it can be done by 1 if you're ready for a few potential battle scars. However, I'll say again that I'm pleased enough with the quality that the other stuff doesnt really matter, because I have a way to stay in shape during this quarantine. Highly recommend. Please stay home if you can, wash your hands, and practice social distancing but stay in close contact with friends and family! We'll get through this! Peace and love. And get this power tower!
