Genuine Honda ATF
This is genuine ATF from Honda, Made in Japan. It’s cheaper from Honda dealers but still genuine parts. Make sure to buy from Amazon as the seller. Installation for Honda Civic 2006-2011 is straightforward. You should remove the air box to approach to the transmission line and have a C-shaped plier in hand to assist in the process.

Great Part - Difficult to Remove
I’m not new to working on vehicles. I consider myself pretty proficient with any at-home auto maintenance. This filter was an absolute bear to remove on our 2009 Honda Accord LX-P. I ended up visiting my local auto parts store and purchased a pair of hose clamp pliers (the ones with the cable). These were somewhat helpful but removing the filter from the top side was still a challenge. What I ended up doing is jacking up the front of the vehicle, and gaining better access after removing the driver’s side tire. This made it much easier to access the hose clamp that connects the filter and hose directly to the transmission. I also decided to replace 3 of those dreadful hose clamps with traditional style, stainless hose clamps that can be loosened or tightened with a nut driver/screw driver (a tip I actually learned from watching a Scotty Kilmer YouTube video). All in all, once I gained access from the bottom side, this wasn’t a heavy lift. I previously drained and filled the transmission fluid on our 2009 Honda Accord LX-P at 70,000 miles 3X, but never got around to replacing the filter until 98,000 miles (3 years later). I haven’t noticed any real shifting difference just from replacing the filter, but I sure did after draining and filling the fluid. I plan on draining/filling the fluid every 30,000 miles, but going a bit longer on the filter, say every 50,000 miles. I also cut open the old filter and it looks like it did it’s job just fine, but didn’t notice anything abnormal. Would definitely recommend replacing if you have the ability and after you’ve got some decent mileage on the vehicle. We plan on keeping our Honda until the wheels fall off, so any preventative maintenance like this is a good thing.

Shifts like butter
Im hesitate of flushing out my transmission fluid , my Honda has 245k miles and I don’t have previous records if it’s ever been changed out from when I got it at 190k but I decided to change out the filter doubting it would make a big difference , I was very wrong . I noticed that my transmission shifts were slightly getting more & more noticeable and my 3rd to 4th gear felt like it was slipping every now and then , I was then thinking of replacing the transmission solenoid but this filter did wonders and completely eliminated the slippage as well as made each gear shift smooth as butter :0 definitely worth the money , the only one downside i had was installing the filter took some time, definitely recommend getting hose pliers to make the job easier but can be done without them

Quality OEM Honda part
I was having hard shifting issues on our Honda Pilot 6-speed transmission. The fix is a drain and refill. There isn’t a pan and filter to easily replace. The filter is located above the transmission, but below the battery box. You have to dismantle a lot to get to it, which is probably why it’s not a normal replacement part. But, I felt like it needed to be replaced after a cross county trip with lots of gravel road driving. Changing the filter, as well as a 3x drain and fill has emptied most of the transmission of old fluid, and it drives great now. It truly is cheap insurance.
