It is carbon steel. All text originally said cast. It's not what I ordered, but I'm not disappointed. It will require some vigilance in care, but; so would cast iron.

Q: How to clean this wok? I deep fry something and there a ring clearly appeared at the level of oil I put in. Couldn’t get rid of it by simple wash.

While pan is still warm, add corse salt and scrub with paper towel. I treat mine just like a cast iron pan. When clean towel dry then place in oven or over a burner on low heat to dry completely. After it drys, immediately oil the entire pan. I side and out. (Not the handle of corse). Good luck.

Q: Q.Can i use steel utensils in this wok?

You can. I prefer wood for this wok, but as long as you’re not scraping the cooking surface really hard, you should be fine. Also season it much like you would a cast iron.
