Fix that common P1405 OBDII code
I ordered this DP sensor to replace the one throwing a P1405 OBD code on my 2000 F-150. The truck has 157K miles, not bad for a 20-year old 4x4 with a 5.4 Triton engine. Anybody who owns a Ford knows this is a relativley common point of failure in the EGR system. The hose pulling hot exhaust to the sensor trarts melting and next thing you know, the DP sensor has a melted base, the electronics embedded in the clear resin as scorched, and the hose connectors are simply gone. Not to worry! This replacement sensor module will solve your problems. Be sure to replace the 3/8" hoses as well. I bought 2 feet of hose (you only need 14" or so if you replace both hoses). The total time to replace the sensor is ~ 5 minutes, 3 of which you could be drinking a nice Bold Rock Unfiltered Draft cider. Well, at least I was. Anyway, use a 5/16" socket on a "wobble" 8" extension on your 3/8" drive ratchet and you'll be fine lickety-split.To clear the code, just disconnect the battery's negative terminal, which- By The Way- uses the same socket. Makes for convenient and easy code-clearing.Since I only had one cider, I grabbed keys and tooled around the neighborhood just to be sure the code stayed gone, and it did. Easy fix, inexpensive fix, and the EGR system will now be able to work properly again.

Very affordable part, great quality, shipped fast, but make sure your car is not a PZEV version.
Very affordable part, great quality, shipped fast, but...even though I did a full Amazon garage check, it did not fit my car because my car is a PZEV designed for (mostly) the California market. I have recently learned that most sites (even at the ones that you can enter your VIN to check for parts that should perfectly fit) do not recognize the difference between a PZEV and a non-PZEV make and model of the same year and engine size. However, this would have been perfect had my 2008 Focus not been a PZEV model. Again, great product, great company, and the issue was not their fault.

Don't buy this one not reliable.
So first off I got this for my 2004 ford expedition. I was on my way to emissions and got a check engine light. Got the scanner out and got a code for the EGR system. I got this sensor and hoses. The old sensor had some damage and the houses had corroded. Once I replaced the sensor and cleared the codes everything was fine. I decided to wait a week before heading back to emissions. The day before the check engine came on. Got my scan tool and it said insufficient flow to the egr. I knew I replaced the hoses and sensor. I used my air compressor and determined I had no blockage so I order the egr Solenoid and egr valve. Got them in drove it 50 miles and the code came back. Did a seafoam treatment and even removed the throttle body. Nothing worked until I decided to order another egr sensor for $40 but from Standard through Amazon since the egr valve and Solenoid was from Standard through Amazon. I didn't go with Motorcraft since it was to much in my opinion. What I found was this sensor isn't doesn't have the fix like Motorcraft and Standard. I put the standard egr sensor in and ran the scan tool I/M readiness and I finally got a green check for the egr and Cat at the sametime. Took it to emissions and passed, but had to pay a 15 dollar late fee. Here's the link to the Standard. I would go with that instead. If you read the reviews for this one you will see it has a number of failures. I realized too late the new sensor failed and couldn't return it, both a new one from Standard, and paid a late fee at emission. Basically cost myself money. One last thing about I/M readiness it will read a check for the egr, but I'd the "cat" isn't ready the egr is still probably messed up.https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B001DKSVB6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_KCZZH3MJFZ7DY5C1H977?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Part seems to be working and was alot cheaper then the local parts houses.
I still seem to be chasing EGR issues and getting the engine light to stay off. But overall this part was exactly what it was suppose to be. Would of been better had it come with new hoses to the egr tube tho
