The Pencil Set That Made Me Believe ✏️✨
I bought the Winsor & Newton Studio Collection Artist Pencils with big dreams of creating breathtaking sketches and maybe even accidentally stumbling into a career as the next Van Gogh (minus the ear situation). What I didn’t expect was a journey of artistic discovery, personal growth, and several accidental pencil-related stabbings.First, let’s talk about the pencils themselves: they’re sleek, perfectly balanced, and come in a range of shades so refined you’ll find yourself whispering “Graphite is life” at 2 a.m. The moment I held one, I felt like a serious artist—even though the last thing I drew was a stick figure dog that looked like a mutant potato.Inspired, I started sketching: first a leaf, then a tree, and then… my destiny. Okay, maybe just a bowl of fruit. But the pencils make shading so smooth and satisfying that even my uneven apple looked deliberate, like it came from a fancy art exhibit titled “Imperfect Perfection.”The best part? These pencils make mistakes look good. Smudges? Artful texture. A line where it shouldn’t be? Spontaneous brilliance. One of the pencils broke when I dropped it, but I pretended it was a metaphor for the fragility of creative ambition.By the time I finished my first “masterpiece,” I wasn’t just an amateur artist—I was a full-on creator, dramatically blowing eraser dust off my page like I’d just solved world hunger in pencil form. Sure, I’m still not quitting my day job, but this set made me believe in the power of good tools and questionable talent.Whether you’re sketching, doodling, or just using them to look artsy in a café, these pencils are an inspiration. Warning: you may find yourself quoting Bob Ross and calling your cat “a happy little accident.” Highly recommend. ✏️🎨

Windsor & Newton WC Pencils: Not The Best
I was specifically looking for art supplies that would all fit in one 1gal ziplock bag for transport/travel. There’s probably a better way than how I accomplished this, but Windsor & Newton typically makes quality art products, these were a good value at the time of purchase. These WN pencils are not the quality any professional or serious hobbyist is looking for. I should’ve known that and I am writing it here, so I’m not knocking more than one star off because the product is not advertised as a professional product. The rest of this is a pro or con list, depending on what you’re looking for: these are small, functional, water color pencils, inside an embossed mental tin, in two layers of plastic liners that holds the pencils.I doubt I will use these for anything more than quick concept sketches - they may be more useful with a blending stick/stump or burnishing tool. I will use them for something!

Good stuff
Good quality. Good colors. Had to buy a sharpener to make sure they didn’t break. Broke on a regular sharpener but Faber sharpener worked

Not Bad At All
These watercolor pencils are a bargain at this price point. Please note that you will have to use them with a bit of pressure as the initial impact is quite light. I think higher price points might have better pigment with which to use and get the full quality of the pencil. If you search on Google how to use water color pencils, you'll see a warning about being careful how you sharpen them; that they can easily break because of their soft core. I've taken pictures of what I colored before wetting them - there is a nice vividness; however, it's best to use on stiffer paper. This was a good purchase.

I love these!
I am beginning in colored pencils, so I cannot say whether these are artist quality or not. I suspect not. But I love the way they color, very smoothly and soft feeling. Much less expensive than Prismacolor or equal and completely adequate for non professionals, I believe. I would definitely recommend them for the average person using a coloring book, beginning in colored pencil work, or for kids.

Great set to start
I chose that set because it had everything I needed. It came with an eraser, a sharpener and different pencil to draw. It was a great deal for me.I used a couple of times and it was great. I liked the quality and the different pencils
