I really enjoy the simplicity and naturalness of a wet shave. Like many things, it can be done very frugally or not. I prefer the former. I tried natural boar hair shave brushes which worked but shed terribly. Every time I shaved there were strands of boar hair from the brush in my soap cup, on my face and in the sink. Every time. I virtually gave up on shave brushes altogether until reading somewhere that shedding was not a problem with synthetic brushes. So, I gave it a go. My first synthetic brush did not shed at all but clearly looked synthetic. I wanted something that looked natural and performed well without shedding. The Synthetic Badger Shaving Brush does just that. I liked the performance so much I purchased another one and gifted it to my Dad. The brush comes with a plastic holder that is functional. I use it when I travel. The handle is comfortable in the hand and allows good range of motion as you apply your lather. I enjoy using this brush and expect to be able continue to do so for quite a long time.

Keep in mind that I've only tried it once but so far so good so very good. Looks small when you first get it but after the first use really plumps up. It's soft and firm and only lost one hair. whips up the foam very well and holds it very well. I am very satisfied with this brush and it doesn't even have a bad smell like other Badger brushes. it works as well as my synthetic and my badger brushes this makes the sixth one works just as well maybe even better. I know this review was very premature but I just had to write it since I am so pleased with the brush this very first time I used it. Good thing is the price also. Try it I think you'll like it. Keep in mind that it doesn't have a bad smell like other Badger brushes. also I'm usually right about these things after the first use. No need to try any others since I am very pleased with this last brush. It should last me many years. I think you will be very pleased with it also.p.s.I tried it a second time and I was right I like it the best works really great and no bad smell. I've used it several times now an I would be surprised if you can find a brush that works better even at a higher price.best brush and only lost one hair the first time . it deserves 10 stars.

The brush is very nice and feels very good for a synthetic bristle brush. The stand is total crap. Open base and very lightweight. The sad part is I bought this due to the stand. I had to glue it to a PVC cap and add a galvanized cap inside as weight.

Really nice brush for the price and it’s synthetic so no animals involved. Can’t comment on the stand as I never plan to use it.

I replaced an older boars hair brush with this brush. I got the wood handled version, and it is of very high quality. It started out surprisingly firm, much stiffer than my previous boars hair, but with use it has softened. It lathers well, holds foam well, and feels good against the skin. So far it hasn’t shed any hairs

It has the small footprint that I was looking for. The only thing I’d change is a heavier material. The plastic is so light, it falls over when I take the brush off when shaving.

Got this lather brush for my husband and he loves it. He says the brush has great bristles that give great coverage. The bristles don’t fall out, either! This is a quality lather brush!
