I love this cup. I asked for my first one for Christmas. I wanted a cup that was fully glass (many have a plastic straw/opening). The lid is plastic but I don't mind because it doesn't touch your drink/mouth. Another must have for me was for the opening to be big enough to fit most ice cubes (I like my water ice cold). I did order ice trays that make skinny cubes, but most regular ice cubes can fit as long as you don't put too much water in the tray.I also love the silicone cover this cup comes in, because with me liking my water really cold, the glass obviously condensates as it gets warmer. The cover makes it less likely to slip out of your hands. The cover doesn't have a way to come off which I don't like, but it's not a deal breaker for me.The cup that I received for Christmas ended up breaking but it was my fault. I often stick it in the freezer for awhile, instead of putting ice in it. A few days ago I forgot it in the freezer overnight, and in the morning it was cracked. I ordered a new one immediately and hopefully won't make the same mistake again lol. Love my Ello cup!

Perfect, simple design. Intuitive, uncomplicated. Fits a straw inside without it being wedged against the lid, but also designed so the straw doesn't sink down into the rest of the bottle thanks to its smaller opening at the top. Lid is simple to clean, without having to worry about the gasket found in most other water bottle designs. It is leak proof when turned on its side, and the lock seems to work pretty well for keeping the lid from opening unintentionally. It is a bit hefty but that is to be expected from a glass water bottle. The glass is thick, but I recommend being extra careful not to drop it, just in case. I had gone through trial and error trying to make myself drink more water, but I hated plastic, and most reusable bottles had a flaw. Sliding lids, straws, straws with caps, sipper lids, stoppers, plastic, silicone, metal, I had tried them all. This has beat them all by far.

Since it's glass, there aren't any lingering odors, discoloration, or residues from drinks. It's fairly heavy when filled with water - too heavy for me to take it on a walk and hold (I'm a fit man with average hands). The silicone is grippy all the time. ONE ISSUE: The hinge pin that holds the lid onto the bottle slowly slides its way out over a couple days, so you need to push it back in flush with your fingernail, which is easy and has little resistance; just an annoyance. It's a product design flaw, not just my bottle.

I have several glass water bottles and the Ello one comes out on top. I love that the one touch release pops the lid open. I wash these in our dishwasher without a problem. I already have a hot pink one and the current one was purchased for spouse (who kept stealing mine). This is a newer version of the one I've had for several years now. The design has been updated to include a manual lock on the lid. So extra security that your bottle won't pop open. The only improvement would be to figure out how to mark the bottle on the side (or on the silicone wrap?) to include ounces for portioning.

I love my bottle! I can taste the difference drinking out of a glass versus plastic. My only issue with this is when you put ice in it or have in the fridge it doesn’t open when pressing the button.

I received 2 of these about 4 or so years ago. I still use one every day, the other broke when I dropped it. IT DOESN'T LEAK. That is the best thing about it. I just bought 2 more for my husband to use as we are getting out of using the plastic water bottles. As far as I am concerned, this is the best bottle out there.
