Q: What are the different size choices? Am installing on a Remington 1911 R1

Better to ask a good gunsmith on this one. I have several Remington 1911s and it is very hard to change the sights on them. The front sight isn’t too bad but the rear is a booger. If you try it, get an adjustable rear.

No, these are not intended for actual GI style pistols. GI style front sights have a post called a tenon that must be staked in a hole in the slide. GI style rear sights have a small dovetail and are drifted in. There are some GI style night sights available, such as the Meprolight, link to follow. The Rock Island Tactical, Hi-Cap, and Match 1911s have "Novak style" dovetail sight cuts, which are similar to true Novak cuts. Rock Island Tactical, Hi-Cap, Match, etc. made after summer of 2013 supposedly have sight cuts that are almost identical to true Novak cuts. However, older models have cuts that are slightly different in that the rear cut is narrower, and the front cut is deeper. The front cut is the real problem as installing a true Novak front sight results in a gap under the front sight, and thus no way to secure it well without filling in with metal.
