Is this a holographic site? So if you magnify it the dot will not increase in size?

No, it is not a holographic site. This is a red dot. I recently purchased this model and really like the optic. It said IP67 same as Eotech Exp3 or iphone 12 Which means 30 minute for under 3 foot water.

Has anybody had an issue with this model not turning on after being stored in the dark? I find myself having to charge it in the sun every 5 days or

Yes. The super capacitor gets too low and you need to put it in the sun for a day.

Did this ever come in qd? i think i thought the battery lever was a quick detach lever, that sucks

The one I purchased did not and I have never seen one with quick detach. Not to say they don't exist but no is the answer to your question.
