Works as described

I love this tool! I live in a very old home where a lot of the radiators have bent fins. This worked nice to help straighten them as good as they could be.We also replaced the horsehair plaster that was on the walls which a lot of dust and particles fell into the radiators. This made cleaning them a lot easier!

I made a huge mistake and power washed my AC coils to clean them. It unfortunately bent most of the fins quite severely. I bought this tool hoping to correct my mistake.I can say with some effort that I was able to straighten most fins where I worked on them. Where I had really bent the fins flush, it struggled to get behind and straighten those. I probably will end up replacing my 20 yr old unit anyhow. I do think this is a great tool for mildly bent fins though. It also will do a bit of a clean up job too. Only awkward part is that with a cage on the outside, it can be tricky getting the tool started in the fins.As someone else said, the prongs look like they could come out with some repetitive use, so I used glue to drop into the back (with the cap off) and made the prongs extra tough to remove. No issues so far.

There are too many pins, they are too dense. They don’t fit any of my truck’s radiators. I was able to use this tool minimally for minor repairs with extreme care, but the prongs just barely fit and there to too many to be effective as it is made. Maybe it will be better served for residential AC

I have done AC/ HVAC and have always had to straighten out fins. This makes the task easy.

Absolutely worthless on residential condensers. Tears the fins off just trying to get it started. I do not know if it works for automotive, but do not buy this for residential condensers.
