This was my first purchased of a Root Hair coloring product. My hair color is an unusual dark brown, and hard to match. I was skeptical if the root coloring would match, or work as advertised.I ordered the dark brown, it matches my hair color perfectly, and totally covered my white gray hair! The blending brush on the bottle worked extremely well to my surprise, and the product application exceeded my expectations. Everything worked as promised, with no odor or skin irritation. L’Oreal root hair coloring only took only 15 mins to apply, the 10 minutes to set, it truly saved my day in minutes.

I used to go to the salon to get my grays covered, but since I discovered this, I just do it at home at my own schedule and it has been awesome. Super easy you just dump the small bottle into the squeeze bottle and shake it up and then just start applying. I usually have about an inch to 2 inches of grey grown out and I put this over my entire head just at the roots and there’s more than enough product to cover it all. I love the coverage as I have stubborn grays! I use this dark brown and it turns me into a dark brunette without it looking super black It also comes with the plastic disposable gloves, and I don’t even use the included brush. I just use my fingers and go section by section with a comb. I usually wait 20 minutes to wash it out even though it says it takes only 10 and it looks great.

This stuff is great! I like my roots a little darker. I have blonde hair so I chose the medium blonde for my roots. I was a little afraid of how it was going to turn out, being not a exact match to my hair. But I applied it to my roots and did what my stylist does. I used a comb to pull it through my hair. I left it on for 20 minutes because I have stubborn grays. It turned out much better than I thought it would!

I find this color matches the 6 ash with highlights I use well and if I leave it on long enough it lasts.One star off for the gloves. Tho they are large enough, they stick to my skin and will not go on all the way. So frustrating to be putting this on wearing mittens with tassels on the end.The brush is also just a mess. I use the tip, sectioning my hair with it, putting down a bead of dye and blending it in with my mitten.

Play with the timing …I use Dark Blonde on my white roots for 40 minutes. It gives a dark root that lightens with washes but doesn’t turn white again.I use Light Blonde 15 minutes to give myself highlights. Still working on the process. Still playing with timing.It takes two boxes to do my roots. I put it on pretty heavy yet, being careful not to overlap. Overlaps happen of course but, I haven’t noticed banding afterward.Very satisfied with the results and future potential … as well as time and cost saving.

Saves me a trip to the salon where it costs $150 for root color. Easy to use and great results!

I used a dark brown which is my original color. The color did match and it did the job which is why I gave it 3stars but when it stated to wear off, it started turning my hair orange. Do not recommend and will not buy again.

I’ve been looking for a product like this for years! So easy to apply and I was so impressed with how well it worked. The color blended so nicely with the rest of my hair and it lasted!
