Great coat!!!
Excellent coat!I bought this coat to go to Minneapolis for a work trip. I knew I would need something that was not going to fail me in the frigid Minnesota air. I live in south Florida so I didn’t even own a coat until I bought this but I grew up in CNY and everybody I knew had a Carhart. They work great. I kept it for the next time I travel to the cold. I’m bringing this w/ me!

Sleeve cuffs WAY too tight!
**UPDATE: I returned the L/Tall via UPS drop off, cost me $8 for them to box it up (lesson learned). I now have an XL/Tall and thankfully have slightly more room for my wrists in the cuff area, still very tight in the bottom part of sleeves but at least it will fit over my gloves! This would be my favorite jacket if the cuffs were not so tight/ if Carhartt used the same larger zipper from the older jackets (small zipper will be a pain to zip in the cold for sure, as other reviewers have rightly mentioned)/ Also the hand pockets are small... so I changed my rating from 3 stars to 4. If Carhartt fixed these 3 issues, then this would easily be my favorite jacket!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I'm 6'3" and 230 lbs.,was in great shape back in the day (Lifted weights/ Army lean an' mean), but now I look like a weasel that's preggers... So anyways, this new Large/ Tall sized jacket fits tighter in the chest area than my old Carhartt Large/ Regular (old Carhartt was a cheaper hooded style/ basic model). The sleeves are tighter compared to the old style (maybe because of Sherpa lining?), but the BIG reason I am leaving this review and returning this product for an XL/ Tall is because the sleeve cuffs are SOOO tight!! Even the outer sleeve around the stretchy cuff is crazy tight, so no way to pull my sweatshirt sleeves through the jacket cuffs and absolutely no way for me to tuck my long wool gloves inside the cuffs. This particular jacket was made in Indonesia. I know that the same model of clothing made in different countries will vary slightly (goes for all brands), but I am not sure if it is a quality control issue or if this new upgraded jacket is sized differently compared to the old base Carhartt model.Another con is that the zipper is smaller, as others have mentioned.Pros: this jacket feels warmer than my old basic model, arm movement will be better (in larger size, lol). I LOVE the Sherpa lining! Also, despite having a smaller zipper, I absolutely love the snap-over buttons! It is absolutely worth paying more for the upgraded buttons and lining!I hate to leave less than stellar review, but I will update it after I exchange this jacket for a larger one... If it is a quick worry-free exchange, then I will up the stars. If not, well... ITS COLD AND I NEED A JACKET NOW!!

Keeps you warm and dry when you need it.
This durable jacket was the thing my husband needed. He works out in all kinds of weather. Whether it is cold or warm, he is working outside. He needed a jacket that he could wear and keep warm during the winter months when it is rainy. If there is anything bad about this jacket is that it keeps him TOO warm. LOLIt is a great investment for anyone who is working outside or doing a lot of outdoor activities in the winter months.

A nearly perfect work jacket.
I have been a Carhartt fan for years, and I purchased the Utility Jacket to replace my 26 year old Carhartt chore coat. What do I like about this jacket: Everything. The Fit: I am 5ft 11in tall, 185lbs, Medium build, so I ordered a Large, and the fit is perfect from the sleeve length to the shoulders. Because the jacket is gusseted, it allows for full range of motion even with the jacket fully zipped and buttoned. The jacket has an adjustable waste cord, which I have not had to touch. Another nice feature is the jacket length, which falls at pocket level on a pair of jeans. The jacket is slightly longer in the back than in the front, which keeps it from riding up.Storage: The jacket has six pockets. Two front "hand" pockets, two buttoned breast pockets, an additional front left breast pocket with a center Velcro closure, which makes for a handy place to hold pencils, and an interior zip pocket on the left, which I use to keep my wallet secure. Pocket depth has not been an issue, and I keep an IPhone 13 in the front hand pocket with no issues.Warmth: The jacket is Sherpa lined. I've worn it hours in 25-32 degree temps and was comfortable with just a T-shirt under a Henley shirt. I would say that it would be comfortable to work in from 20-50 degrees. The zipper (right zipper) also has a button cover, making it that much more air tight. The sleeves are cuffed, though they don't appear to be at a glance. These cuffs really help with keeping cold air from seeping into the arms, especially if you're like me and you like to wear a thinner undershirt while working. There is a Sherpa-lined attached hood as well.Construction: This jacket feels heavy duty. The zipper is beefy, the buttons solid, and the overall construction is solid. I feel like I can use and abuse this jacket without destroying it. The duck outer lining is not soft cotton, but it moves, and feels strong without being stiff.Appearance: This is not a bad looking jacket and I might even call it stylish. I would feel fine wearing this while out and about.Demerits. I give this jacket one demerit, and it is a very minor demerit, and that is the attached hood. I like the hood, I like how it lays on the back when not in use without feeling bulky, I just wish that it could be removed. This is a very minor quibble, however.Overall I highly recommend this jacket if you are in the market for warm, heavy duty, and practical work wear. It is not inexpensive, but I feel it is worth every penny. In fact, I would go as far to say that even if you aren't in the market for a work jacket, but only warm jacket that can take a beating, then this jacket is worth considering. It is warm, comfortable, practical, and not bad looking.
