Have used these in my UV disinfection unit for past twelve years.The bulbs always have lasted the 12 months between changes. The bulbs are more expensive than non OEM, but I want to make sure that the disinfection is operating at the optimal level, which is worth a couple of dollars more per month for me.

Arrive intact and ready for use.

My lamp arrived intact, and without damage, and it did appear that the manufacturers packaging was sufficiently designed to protect it from most perils during transit. That said, I could see it arriving broken if the carrier was rough with it.The lamp installed quickly and easily without incident. I sent a water sample to a lab for analysis after the install was complete, and it returned as being safe to drink as expected. I'm on a private well, so I'm extra careful about such things.Unfortunately, part of one of the ends of the old bulb broke off when I removed it. While this didn't matter, I'd hardly used any force at all, and I could easily see the new bulb breaking just as easily if not installed exactly right. I'd recommend using extreme caution during the installation process.

Excellent quality and service. You might as well order the glass sleeve with the bulb. It is very fragile after a year of service and seems to crack if you look at it too long ! It needs to be waterproof so any tiny damage renders it useless.

I realize it was a risky venture ordering this product, but I gave it a shot anyway. The first on arrived in a partially mangled box with a broken lamp. Not one to give up easily, I returned the package and was given a quick return of a second lamp. Unfortunately, this too arrived broken. I've learned my lesson and will pick this fragile product up at the store.

This item did NOT come with replacement "O" rings or any instructions. For the slight reduction in price for an original Viqua filter, it's not worth it. I did not use it, and ordered a Viqua filter which came with the "O" rings and instructions.

The only thing I noticed is that the days change more often than the old one. I only open my store for 10 hours a day and the old light gave me 3 days per uv light day (example: the number 60 (days) didn't change for 3 days on the old bulb). Maybe it was defective I don't know. I just bought the store almost a year ago. Anyhow, I am happy.
