My Secret Weapon Against Creepy Crawlies
As much as I love my home, I absolutely do not love uninvited insect guests. After trying various sprays and traps, I decided to go a more natural route and try Harris Diatomaceous Earth Crawling Insect Killer, and I'm so glad I did! This 8oz container is surprisingly mighty. I've used it for a range of pests – from those sneaky ants that try to invade the kitchen to the occasional spider. What I love about DE is that it's a non-toxic way to deal with insects. You just sprinkle a fine layer where you see activity (or where you suspect they're entering), and it works by dehydrating them. It's not an instant kill like a chemical spray, but it's incredibly effective over a short period.I've used it along baseboards, under sinks, and even lightly dusted pet bedding for fleas (after ensuring it's food-grade, which this is!). It's a bit dusty when applying, so a mask is a good idea, but the peace of mind knowing it's a natural solution is worth it. Plus, it's long-lasting as long as it stays dry.If you're looking for an effective, natural, and non-toxic way to combat roaches, fleas, ants, bed bugs, and other crawling insects without harsh chemicals, this Harris Diatomaceous Earth is a total game-changer. It's become my go-to for keeping my home bug-free!

Effective and Easy to Use!
Came well-packaged and ready to use. Since applying it, we’ve noticed a significant drop in roaches—most of the ones we do find are already dead. We did spot a few (three, to be exact) climbing the curtains, but they were easy to deal with. It hasn’t caused any issues for my dog or the neighbourhood strays, which was a big concern for me. Overall, it’s working well and definitely worth trying if you’re dealing with roaches. Just be patient and give it a little time to do its thing!

Great value, super effective!
Love this! It helped me get rid of my spider mites on my indoor plants. It was a pain to get the duster out, you will definitely need gloves and a mask to make sure you don't get the dust on you. But once I figured out how to use it, it has helped 10 fold! I have yet to need another bag, so the price is great for how much you get.

Environmentally responsible and extremely effective!
Safe, effective way to eliminate crawling pests. Amy’s, stink bugs, box elder bugs were really a problem in my house. This product is safe for use around pets and doesn’t harm the environment. I sprinkled it around the perimeter of my basement and at the thresholds and window sills. Within three days, the bugs were gone.

3 stars bc idk!!! I need help. I poured this all over my bathroom bc I was getting numerous centipedes (barffff) running passed my feet while I was peeing. So inpoured this in front, behind, and all over the border of my bathroom. 1 week later I noticed a pile of idk WTH!!! It looks like little baby pebbles or ashes in a mound behind and in front of my toilet! So WTH is this now? And why isn’t this working? Like this is brand new! Someone please tell me what I’m dealing with. I’m female hate creepy crawlers more than u can imagine and no man around. Please help! Do I need an exterminator and for what????? That white powder is this item. I put it there last week and there was no mound! I’m freaking out! Front of toilet and back? Thought it was dirt, then I saw the mound behind the toilet much bigger. I’m freaking!!! Please tell me this isn’t a centipede nest!?!?

Awesome product!!
I have read over many reviews and wanted to clear a few things up about this product. A recurring issue seems to be that the insects are still active and walking through or by the diatomaceous earth without reacting or dying instantly. That is not how this product is intended to work. The diatomaceous earth will stick to the insects body/legs, and that insect will take it back to the colony/nest. Over the course of 48-72 hours, the powder begins to dehydrate the insects, which in turn kills them. It is not instant, like raid would be.The other thing I’ve seen most mentioned is that the bottle is not full. The bottle states that it contains 8 ounces of diatomaceous earth. After shipping & settling of the powder, it can appear to be more full or less full than the next bottle. It contains 8 ounces per bottle regardless of how it ’looks’.As to the effectiveness, this product cannot be beat!! We have been battling carpenter ants and earwigs for weeks now, and we do every single spring, summer and into fall. The house we rent is one-story, that sits on a concrete slab, in an area that was once swamp land. I put this powder around the entire exterior, and on the interior problem spots, on Saturday, June 8, 2024 and have already noticed a big reduction in the number of pests we are seeing. While sitting on the back porch, I watched insects running AWAY from the powder; in turn running away from my house. We have tried using HomeDefense and other chemicals that are dangerous to our pets. With diatomaceous earth, we no longer have to worry about boarding them for 3 days. I will never stop using this product!

It works as advertised, but it only kills bugs and does not repel them
DTE is a mixed bag. If you blast a cockroach with DTE, it will be very unhappy and it will eventually die even if it only touches or eats some DTE. But it won’t die right away, and it won’t repel any of these pests on its own. I think it’s best used in combination with other bug repellents, poisons, and traps to increase their effectiveness, e.g. on bait in a trap so that even if the bug gets away, the DTE will kill it.You have to snip the tip of the bottle to use it, and depending on how big a hole you make, the tip can sometimes get clogged, but just smacking the bottle on a hard surface will unclog it.
