The media could not be loaded. I can’t speak to whether it’s better for braiders but as someone who gets protective styles that use additional hair, this hair is very soft and fluffy. I have fine hair, not thin and this was recommended to avoid damaging my hair. My stylist noted the regular kanekalon hair was “cutting” into my hair causing damage with my protection style.You’ll see I took a picture of the beauty salon grade (1.99) hair against this hair. You can clearly see the difference and I could also feel the difference.I’ll continue to use this hair in my protective styles and hope to gain length retention since this is not as abrasive as kanekalon braiding hair.

I purchase this brand for my daughter’s braids. It was suggested by our stylist. It’s always consistently good over 5 purchases from 2023-2024. I’ve never experienced an issue, my daughter’s braids always hold up well. We use 1B, the hair doesn’t fray or come unraveled. For reference my daughter is very active (English horse back riding) and her braids look really good even at week 4 or beyond. The hair does so well that the stylist can do touchups leaving many braids in until the next appointment. I’ve purchased other brands, twice, from a local beauty supply store and the quality was very poor compared to RastAfri brand.

Taking in the new skill of box braids and I feel like this hair made it easy for me! i feel like it did come out pretty quickly though I don’t think I knotted it tightly enough! Definitely lived up to its expectations!

I was referred to this product by a new hairstylist I was going to try. I usually have my hair braided with hair yarn, so I was a little hesitant to use this hair or any other for that matter.These arrived right on time, as predicted by Amazon. They were packaged well. When I opened the package there was no stench coming from it. In touching the hair I found it to be quite soft and silky. When the hair was braided into my hair, I got cornrows, it blended very well with my own hair; not sticking out and not rough to touch.The quantity this package provided was a good value. My hairstylist only used about one half of one batch. I still have for and a half more for future use.Later I learned that my daughter uses this same product and of course that made me feel even better about this hair. I have enough left that I can share with her for her next appointment.I do recommend it for having your hair braided for thickness, added length and for cornrows.
