Used to regulated the temp of a heat mat in our chick brooder. I tuck the mat into a box on its side to make a little cave and place into a plastic brooder bin. Being able to control the temp in the brooder is important and this does the job very well!

Received mine two days ago and promptly hooked it up only to discover that the LCD readout only functioned partially. As it stands I am unable to see the actual temperature readings or know for sure if I have set the correct temp on the unit as only parts of the number grids will display but not enough to know exactly what number you are setting.Aside from the bad display, the unit seems very basic to operate and the included instructions were sufficient. Like many others, I must have gotten a bad unit.EDIT 01/01/2017I was contacted by the seller shortly after posting my original review and they offered to replace the defective unit for me. Upon receiving the replacement unit with expedited shipping, I am happy to say that the display is working perfectly and it appears to be maintaining the temperatures much better too. I'm very satisfied with how things were address and resolved.

This was the first thermostat I purchased for regulate the warming mats in my greenhouse. It is a great product and will do exactly what you need it to do. Don't use the warming mats without using a thermostat as you will have to constantly check on them to maintain the proper temperature for your plants. I recommend this thermostat as it is priced right and works well.

I used it to keep my Kombucha at a constant temp. I purchased it November of 2018 and just threw it away this morning. It showed a power fault, I unplugged the heating mat and the fault remained. So now I need another one. Don't know if I will purchase the same thing again.Until it failed it worked beautifully. It held the set temperature to within half a degree, it brought the liquid up to temp within a reasonable time. the only thing I would found problematic was the suction cup holding the temperature probe to the container was easily dislodged.Seven months continuous service for sixteen dollars is not a bad deal, but I'm going to see if there is something out there a bit more durable.

This is the only thermostat I will use for my reptiles. I've never once had issues with accuracy or it not maintaining the correct temperature.

Have had quite a few of these for snakes, lizards and fish tanks. They are great quality. Keeps the temperature exactly where I need it, when I need it. They can be a little confusing to set up though, but nothing a good YouTube video can’t help with.

We own two temperature-controlled VIVOSUN heating mats that work flawlessly. We also own two large seedling heating mats (that don't have a adjustable thermostats) that we stopped using last year because they got too hot and overheated the plant roots in several seedling flats. While this thermostat only has one outlet, I can regulate the temperature of both mats with a connected plug strip. So far, so good. Seedlings are thriving in our outdoor greenhouse.
