A low cost, Peltier-based thermoelectric, bench-top chilling block which maintains 15 ml test-tube samples or microvials at refrigerator temperature (around 8 °C) for indefinite periods of time. No ice or freezer pre-conditioning needed. The Micro-BioFridge comes with one solid aluminum dry-block and one aluminum cup for water bath applications. Operates at 115 volt AC or 12 volt DC via an automobile lighter socket. The chilling module has a 6' X 6' footprint and comes with an external AC to DC solid-state power supply.
