Exactly as I remember the paper slicer in school growing up! Works amazing, it's very lightweight and easy to operate. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because the safety screw cannot be tightened to stop the unit from being opened as intended. You have to use a screw driver every time you utilize the unit to tighten and loosen with is a pain. Otherwise, this is perfect.
