This is a vegetables worst nightmare. Super sharp and light, but fits the hand perfectly. You need this knife.

Sharp and light
This is a lovely little knife. So light in the hand, I am so used to German kitchen knives. Used it today to chop vegetables for chicken stock. Onion, celery, carrots. And it went through the thick ugly store brand carrots at their thickest with ease. I even tried Julienne one carrot and poof was chopped up on the board.

Tang pulled out of handle
Disappointed that today the tang pulled out of the handle. This knife my wife and I baby. Handwashed and dried immediately after every use. Not sure if there is something we can due to secure the handle.

Best Japanese knife
Tried multiple Japanese knives and the Masamoto is truly different. Sharp and light on the hand but curved just right for cutting ease.

The knofe is as good as ststed
The knife is very sharp. It is solid in your hand which adds to it's ability to cut vegetables with ease.

Great knife for sushi chefs
If you make a lot sushi from whole fish then this knife is teally nice to have. It does have drawbacks so it needs some love.1. it is made a carbon steel so it rust quickly, wash and dry as soon as you are done using it.2. carbon steel is kind of brittle so don’t use it to chop bones. Small fish bones is ok.

Chipped under very mid use. Asked questions about it’s authenticity but never saw a reply from sellerAmazon needs to do a better job filtering our fake products
