Great deck for beginners. Maybe add a book.
First of all, it's a great deck period: the cards are gloss coated, large with no wasted space, bright colors. Flexible enough to riffle shuffle if you wish, and sturdy enough to stand up to that. I've only owned them a month, and I don't put them under a lot of stress, but they don't seem like a stock that would peel at the edges with use.The pouch is lovely too: well made with quality materials. The stitching is invisible and solid. The purse cord is heavier than you might expect. And the gold design transferred completely. It almost looks as if it were stitched in fine, gold thread. Why great for beginners? First, because it is a quality deck for the price, but also because it is a Rider Waite deck. This imagery is the most widespread and basically the default deck for books you will find on the tarot. While this deck does come with a little white book (LWB) that defines the cards and suggest spreads, I recommend getting a bigger book or even relying on a website when learning to interpret the cards. I pitched the LWB that came with this deck because it was too small to open comfortably and when I looked inside, I came across misspellings and incomplete phrasing.

4.5 stars. Cards aren't perfect. Good for beginners.
4.5 stars. This deck was in it's velvet like logo bag within a heavy plastic bag. Opening the outer plastic bag, the flap box with cards was in the velvet bag. The bag had the usual pull ties. The flap box was a little difficult to open, but it has a coating so it should last longer than uncoated flap boxes. Of course, it's not as nice as a two part box.The card stock is good, a bit stiff, but it should get better with use. I read that the lines and coloring had been reworked at some point and looked better, but it still could use some improvement. The coloring can be off, not always completely coloring the area within the lines, and weird in places. Some of the lines don't look complete especially on some of the faces. The lines can look faint or incomplete, more of a suggestion of a face. I suppose the original drawings had perhaps lost something over the years. This is some what a matter of taste, but also I don't love all the crosshatching and color scribbles. See the uploaded picture samples to see if these cards vibes with you.The booklet was nicer than I expected. It has color pictures of the cards. Each card has an upright meaning and keywords for the reverse meaning. The Major Arcana has more information on the symbology and at for each card and a larger picture. I like borderless cards. I purchased these as they follow the Rider-Waite system, were borderless, and reasonably priced at around $13.50 at the writing of this review. I didn't want anything expensive as I plan to color over the nude parts of people so if photographed for social media they will pass standards and be in offensive. For me the deck isn't perfect, but will serve my purpose and at this price point for a borderless deck or was a good option. Would make a good deck for beginners.

Nice quality cards for low price - with some issues
I'm an experienced tarot reader and have used a few different decks over the years and shopped for lots, seen lots of different decks. I needed a new deck at a low price just to have one on hand, which I did not at the time. I wanted Rider-Waite, and these are a copy of those (legal, in the public domain now). I was ok with no border on the design and colors being changed. But know that these are not the most attractive cards in terms of colors or feel, so look elsewhere for that. The backs of the cards, however, are very attractive. The bag is nice, and the box the cards came in is also nice and can fit inside the bag. I like to keep them that way to protect the cards better than just putting them in the bag alone. The cards are sturdy and a good size and thickness. Perfectly usable for yourself or giving readings. If you want the booklet to be helpful, that could be a problem. It is not the original Rider-Waite booklet, but worse than that, is not good, in my opinion. So I would forget about that part. If you want a cheap beginner deck, you can use these and learn about reading the cards from books or online - this is what I would recommend. Try Biddy online.Have fun!

Great value, bright clear printing.
I purchased 3 borderless RWS deck to do readings for friends. I wanted big borderless images so the querent can see the images. I got the $26 Lo Scarabero borderless. Complete garbage: the cardstock is too thick to shuffle, printing is awful, the black outline is smudged and blow out, the colors run together, all detail lost. The AIEWEV borderless RWS for $11 is a great value. The box is nice and sturdy, the colors are muted and vintage feeling. The cardstock is easy to shuffle. Lastly, this deck the Magic Seer deck. $15. This is an excellent value. The cardstock is nice, easy to shuffle. Glossy, but that is to be expected. The printing quality is awesome. Very bright and vivid. Easy to read images and details. The box is standard, but also comes w nice velvet bag. The booklet is great. Full color w pictorial images in the booklet. Like a small book, more than just the tiny print pamphlet that usually comes w decks. I will buy more of this deck for gift giving for friends who like bright bold colors. The AIEWEV Deck for friends who like muted vintage looks. The overpriced Lo Scarabeo deck i want to drop kick across the street.
